Horrible Battery Life

I liked this camera alot. However the battery life when shooting Full HD video is horrible. If you search on the internet you will see loads of complaints regarding battery life issues, yet Canon fails to recognize this problem. Images and effects are great.

Good Low-Light Performance; Nice features/settings; excellent image quality; Bright LCD; Lightweight/Portable; Simple controls/menu; easy to use

Short battery life; poor microphone placement

Very Disappointed. Poor Image quality.

I am a fan of Canon - especially the S series - however, this newest incarnation is not at all what I expected after reading several reviews. I have an S95 which in my side by side comparison, beat the S120 in terms of color accuracy and sharpness.

Easy to Use; Fast Shutter Speed; Small / Compact

Poor Image Quality; Short Battery Life

Canon PowerShot S120 review: Little camera with a nice, big sensor that delivers

You'll find many compact cameras that also have a wide range of DSLR-like features. While the PowerShot S120 isn't as feature-filled as those cameras, its emphasis is on portability and image quality, and there is little about the PowerShot S120 that's found wanting in those two areas.

Solid feel; high quality construction; Touch screen control; Customizable lens ring function

No handgrip; No eye level viewfinder

Canon PowerShot S120

Canon's pocket-sized PowerShot S120 is the successor to the S110 . The S120 features a 12.1-megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS image sensor, a 5x (24-120mm) wide angle zoom lens with an f/1.8-f/5.7 aperture, a DIGIC 6 image processor, improved Auto Focus speeds, up to 12.1 frames-per-second continuous...

Canon PowerShot S120

The PowerShot range from Canon has lost its bulk now they come with a solid battery, so it will easily fit into a pocket, do not however fall into the trap of thinking this is not a powerful unit. It can take excellent pictures with little input from you.

Canon PowerShot S120 review

Like Sony with its newest cameras for 2014, Canon is also focusing on speed when it comes to its latest device. It's claiming a new Digic 6 processor makes the 12.1 megapixel, 5x optical zoom Canon PowerShot S120 compact some 50% faster than its S110 predecessor.

Solid feel high quality construction despite the pocket proportions; touch screen control; customisable lens ring function will appeal to those who love getting hands on with camera operation

The asking price here would alternatively buy a cheap DSLR; lacks a handgrip; omits an eye level viewfinder
