Camera Was Ok
I'm returning it because it didn't come with a memory card. I felt it should have been ready to take pictures, not having to spend more money to buy the card before even using the camera. Also, I saw this exact same one at another website for $89, with memory card and free shipping.

Great little camera. Disappointed in 5x zoom focusing - quite blurry and grainy, unless there's a glitch with this one camera (not likely). Just have to avoid the full zoom feature. Otherwise, I'd recommend it.

Canon PowerShot A3400 IS
The Canon PowerShot A3400 IS ($179.99 direct) is a pocket camera that succeeds in having a responsive touch-screen LCD, but in a rare misstep for Canon, fails in most of its image gathering capabilities.
Pros:
- Sharp lens
- Touch-screen LCD
- Optical image stabilization
Cons:
- Dismal low-light performance
- Slow to start up and recycle
- Excessive noise reduction
- Limited to digital zoom during video recording

disappointed
Overall picture quality was poor. Purchased for its size and ease to fit in a jacket pocket. Can't compare to my other Canon cameras. While the camera is nice, the picture quality suffers. Very grainy under all conditions. Took pictures under bright sunlight and couldn't get a quality print.
Pros:
- Bright LCD
- Lightweight/Portable
- Simple controls/menu
- easy to use
Cons:
- Poor image quality
- Poor Low-Light Performance

Eh..
Kind of disappointed with this camera.. It does take good pictures but takes a while to reset in between shots. The controls on the screens dont really save any time or make it easier. Actually this will probably be the last point and shoot camera I will ever by.

Canon PowerShot A3400 IS
Canon has a knack of almost always delivering precious gadgets. And by "precious" we mean that kind of device which combines the three most important things: design, performance and price. The $179.99 PowerShot A3400 IS might seem like another product with a long name. But it's more than that.
