There is no better or faster way to deal with large documents. A dedicated scanner is the way to go. Obviously the sticker shock is a bit much - but think about it - how much faster are you when you deal with digital documents than with paper??

works great for scanning double sided documents.
I really like it. The product works great. I think I would like a little more flexibility in the scanning and separation of documents, but overall it does what I want.

The ScanFront 300 scanner is great with typed documents
WARNING: The ScanFront 300 scanner is great with typed documents, but if you try to scan a photograph it will come out grainy.
