A sheetfed document scanner designed to allow you to take bundles of documents and turn them into electronic forms, the Canon DR-C125 actually looks more like a paper shredder. It's not cheap, but it is only half the price of the Canon DR-M160 .

Canon imageFormula DR-C125
Canon document scanners are almost uniformly impressive beasts, so I had high expectations for the Canon imageFormula DR-C125 ($495 direct). I wasn't disappointed. Just like the Editors' Choice Canon DR-2580C ($875 street, 4.5 stars) -which I reviewed in 2005, but is still one of the best desktop...
Pros:
- Duplex scanning
- Extraordinarily fast text recognition for scanning to searchable PDF files
Cons:
- Application programs don't install by default and are mostly old or light versions

This scanner is very fast, it uses LED for the light source so you don't wait for it to wam up CFL tubes. Happy with purchase after reading many reviews of similar items.

Fast
Amazingly quick and easy to use, scans both sides at once. Using this has enabled me to rid lots of paperwork freeing up a lot of shelf space.
