User-friendly and a dependable scanner

great document scanner
I had a Canon 5080 for a decade, weighed 75 pounds and did the same thing except it could feed 500 pages. Now there was a business machine! I use this one to scan legal records and it meets my needs. Have had less luck scanning photos, very difficult to adjust gamma and color on the fly.
Pros:
- This has all the features of the more expensive models except a relatively small feeder (about 100 sheets)
- Comes with multiple software packages including Capio VRS and Adobe 9 basic
- Easy setup
- Hardware manual simple
- Designed so user can replace rollers that wear the most.
Cons:
- has an "insubstantial" feel relative to older scanners
- The included Capio software loads slowly and hogs memory (but you don't have to use it.) On a few runs, one of tyhe internal levers did not retract fully and ripped up the scanned document
- Seems to have resolved itself

Fast and furious
We use these for heavier duty scanning and our users have been very pleased. They scan quickly and without jams with clean images. Some of our users have used this scanner over a year. We have not yet set these up with a Win7 Machine, however, on XP machines it's a trouble free install.

Lightning-Fast Delivery!
As a CPA firm, we do a great deal of scanning. This product is what we order at least once each year. In previous years through another vendor it would take weeks to get to us.
