Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS
Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS Canon's PowerShot SD1200 IS is pocketable, has an interesting variety of shooting modes, produces very good image quality, and comes equipped with optical image stabilization. I found a few design flaws, however, and image quality did suffer with certain manual settings.
Pros:
- Compact
- slim design
- Good image quality in automatic mode
Cons:
- Image quality suffers above ISO 200
- Viewfinder is too small to actually use

Canon Digital Ixus 95 IS
Some people want style. Others want simplicity. And then there are those who want both. If you belong to this last group, then Canon's Digital Ixus 95 IS could be just the ticket.

Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS review Review
The Digital IXUS 95 may be pretty, and it may be a Canon, but if you've got around £180 to spend and all you ask is a 10-megapixel sensor and a 3x zoom, it'd take you a week to read through the list of candidates.
Pros:
- Design and finish
- Simple operation
- Inclusion of an optical viewfinder
Cons:
- Zoom range
- Mediocre lens quality
- Expensive compared to rivals

Canon Ixus 95 IS
This is a rather workaday compact from Canon, with decent construction and rather ordinary performance. It's hard to find anything wrong with it, but it doesn't have any real strengths either. It does the job, but nothing more.

- Pleasant interface
- Generally very responsive
- Image quality at low sensitivities
- Powerful automatic modes
Cons:
- Not as stylish as other Ixus cameras
- Feels clumsy

Canon SD1200 IS
I bought this camera as an upgrade my old Canon SD 500, with priced a lot less than the old one (~$160). The back is made up of plastic and feels a lot weaker than the Old SD500. With a quick glance you can also a lot of features has been stripped out.

Good camera, but quality seems to vary
I used this camera happily for two years before I lost it at a friend's wedding. I was relieved to find a duplicate on eBay for a quarter of the original price. Unfortunately, I'm having serious focus problems with this camera that I never experienced with my old one.
