Cannon - why buy anything else !
I use this camera to take various types of photos but mainly of flora & fauna while hiking, it takes great pictures of flora for identification purposes, clear, crisp, high quality pictures at a decent size (3-4mb on auto), being 10 mega pixels the photo quality is excellent for its size, also

I've had this camera since September 2010 and it was a last minute purchase from our local supermarket in Cyprus as we were flying to Egypt the same afternoon only to discover our original camera was broken! We paid a little less than €100 (EURO) for it and have been pleasantly surprised by it.
Pros:
- I love the size and ease of use
- Very simple to take decent photos, the zoom woks perfectly well (enough to take a photo from our hotel room across to the West Bank of Luxor, Egypt of the hot air balloons taking off early in the morning)
Cons:
- The manual had no English (we're in Cyprus) neither any Greek but I did download one from the internet
- I find the functions not so simple to remember and so haven't really made full use of them as I don't have my pc with me when I want to fiddle with the controls

Only compact camera with optical viewfinder
The great thing about this camera is the separate optical viewfinder which I use on bright days when the LCD screen is hard to see. Most compact cameras don't have this feature. Otherwise it is a standard compact digital camera, takes great pictures and is easy to carry around.

Canon IXUS 95 IS
Canon has traditionally had a stronghold on the compact, stylish camera market with its IXUS range, and if the 95 IS is anything to go by, the company is likely to maintain its position.
Pros:
- Optical viewfinder
- Lightweight
- Very crisp
- sharp photos
- Fast and responsive to start-up and shoot
Cons:
- Chromatic aberration is quite pronounced
- A larger screen would have been nice
- Only small updates from the previous model
- Loud auto focus

Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS
With camera manufacturers throwing an increasing number of features at consumers, it's very easy to skip over simple models such as the Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS. Its specs are basic, its shooting options minimal, and its photo quality and performance, while very good for its class, are still fairly...
Pros:
- Attractive, ultracompact design
- easy operation
- well-rounded, basic feature set
Cons:
- Photo quality dips above ISO 200
- flat buttons can be difficult to press accurately

Canon IXUS 95 IS review
The Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS is a compact camera. Available in a range of different colours, it has a youthful feel. However, it's built around a stainless steel body with rather nicely curved edges and sits neatly in the hand.
