Canon EOS M200 review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Canon EOS M200 review

Apple's latest non-Pro iPhone is superb - it's just that it's strikingly similar to last year's effort.

Still an incredible smartphone, Brilliant battery life gets a bit better, Excellent camera system gets a bit better

Last year’s Pro hardware, Wireless charging slow by modern standards, No USB-C; it’s now well overdue

Canon EOS M200 review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Canon EOS M200 review: Learner’s permit

At first glance, the Canon EOS M200 looks like a basic, unassuming compact camera. But the $550 mirrorless camera is hiding several big features under the hood. Designed for young shutterbugs itching to move beyond their smartphones, the M200 is one of the simplest, most straightforward mirrorless cameras on the market. Canon axed everything extraneous, eliminating the viewfinder, hot shoe, and even the grip. Then it sprinkled in beginner-friendly features like in-camera tutorials. While aspiring enthusiasts will quickly run into its limits, the Canon EOS M200 is an excellent minimalist camera. For the right customer, it has what it takes to stand out in 2019’s extremely crowded camera market. The M200 is light. After sliding it into a camera bag, I felt like I was carrying around an empty bag. Even compared to relatively compact full-frame mirrorless cameras like the Nikon Z 6, the M200 served as a reminder of why mirrorless cameras were invented in the first place. Even with the 15-4...

24-megapixel APS-C sensor; Compact design; Tilting touchscreen; Easy to use; Good autofocus;

Lack of controls, ports, and viewfinder; Sluggish RAW file handling; 4K is cropped;

Canon EOS M200 review

The Canon EOS M200 is a neat little budget mirrorless camera, with a range of matching budget lenses that make it an easy to use compact system. If you want to access more advanced controls it can be time-consuming (several button presses and menus need to be scrolled through to find the switch...

Compact, Easy to use with built-in help, Excellent colour reproduction, Easy to use touch-screen and controls, Simple design doesn't intimidate beginners, Compact lenses match camera system

Limited range of Canon EF-M lenses, More advanced options in menus, Lack of grip on the plastic camera body, Eye-detection focus off on default settings, Current price feels high, Kit lens is soft unless stopped down

Canon EOS M200 review

The Canon EOS M200 is an entry-level mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with a 24 Megapixel APSC sensor, tilting touchscreen and cropped 4k video. Successor to the EOS M100, it inherits the same body with its tilting touchscreen and the same sensor with Dual Pixel CMOS AF for confident focusing...

Canon EOS M200 review

The Apple iPhone 14 isn’t a huge upgrade on the iPhone 13, yet it still is a great phone with a top camera, good battery life and all the iOS benefits.

Clever safety features, Very good battery life, Reliable camera, Fun colours, You’ve got an ageing iPhone: If you’re on an iPhone 11 or older, then the changes here will make a notable difference.

Stuck on a 60Hz display, Minimal differences to the iPhone 13, You’ve got an iPhone 13: The changes from Apple’s previous phone aren’t enough to warrant an upgrade this year.

Canon EOS M200 review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Canon EOS M200 review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades
