A happy snapper with a GOOD camera.

A very simple and easy to use camera. If you are looking to just take good quality pictures and if you want something more than a standard digital camera (and something less than a DSLR) then a compact camera system is ideal; including your option to have additional lenses.

*Almost* a great mirrorless camera

Being a long time Canon user I bought this second hand in excellent condition for a ridiculously good price ($[*] Australian including both lenses and flash) as a 'walk about' digital camera with good technical image quality (my 5D Mk II and lenses are a bit over the top at times).

Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Lightweight; Strong Construction

No Electronic Viewfinder; Slow Focus; Touchscreen Sensitivity

High Quality Images From Small Camera

I regularly use Canon 1D Mark IV and 1D Mark IIN camera bodies. I also have a Canon G-15. I always shoot Canon RAW. I find the image quality from the M to be substantially superior to the G-15.

Excellent image quality for both still and video images. Many manual overrides, when desired, for the extensive auto functions and modes. Photo RAW; 2:3 format that is consistent with Canon's pro cameras. With 22mm lens it's a compact, light camera

There is no effective rapid-fire of images as compared to G series or pro-sumer Canon camera bodies

Overall extremely happy with the Canon EOS M

This is our first good camera. Previously only used small digital cameras. It is easy to use, and the quality of the pictures are fantastic. I say excellent value for Money. It is quite compact so we are taking everywhere and the Auto settings mean we can just point and shoot with great results.

Easy to use; Compact; Build quality; Battery life; Screen size

Excellent!

I am a relatively experienced photographer with 10 years of Canon DSLR use. Got the M as a hiking, skiing and city trips camera and as such it is simply excellent.

Review: Canon EOS M a€" A Classy And Lightweight Mirrorless Camera

Everyone and their uncle these days seems to want a DSLR. However, these are bulky, expensive, and overwhelming for most new users. But the recent slew of mirrorless cameras with the APS-C sensor is all set to change that.

Light weight; Brilliant colour reproduction; Quick to focus (with firmware update); Responsive touch screen; Easy to use; Loads of imaging options; In-body peripheral correction; Stereo speaker and external mic output; Well-built 18-55mm STM lens; EF lens adaptor that lets you load any lens on the...

Adaptor is expensive; No EVF; No Flash; Not too many lens options; No inbuilt GPS support

Love it! Light brill cam!

Well worth the money! Great camera for action packed holidays and easy to use. It comes with loads of free photography information. I love putting on the flash of a night, makes the camera look great as well and take lovely stunning photos.

It is not as I expected

I have used this camera for 2 weeks. The BAD 1) This camera has little grip , with the jacket you can have a better grip but you will end up taking out the jacket and recharge the camera.

The Canon EOS M digital camera Fashionably late to the party

The landscape in the hi-tech marketplace changed radically in 2009 when the Panasonic GF1 arrived on

APS-C sensor; compact; lightweight; and excellent image quality

no handgrip; no built-in flash
