I have to say I am very impressed with this camera. Yes, there have been some people disappointed with the auto focus, but it depends on the lighting, the composition...for the most part this camera does not miss the mark. The colors are true, crisp contrast...it's very nice.

Pros: Good for people who want to upgrade from Super zooms or high end point and shoots Nice compact alternative to buly DSLRs especially for people who travel and photograph rather than travel to photograph.

Well worth the money! Great camera for action packed holidays and easy to use. It comes with loads of free photography information. I love putting on the flash of a night, makes the camera look great as well and take lovely stunning photos.

Camera is small, lightweight, and compact. Images are equally as sharp as the Rebel, and colors are brilliant. It's a great Leica style camera for carrying on hikes, in the city, or on holiday. I do not like the slow focus, and shooting at night requires the purchase of an external flash.

Canon is one of the last major camera manufacturers to release a compact system camera despite its long history. So was it worth the wait? Well, if you're familiar with Canon S-series compacts, you'll certainly find the EOS M looks reassuringly familiar.

However, the M is let down by its AF system and its unbalanced feel that stems from it not having a decent grip.

I am a relatively experienced photographer with 10 years of Canon DSLR use. Got the M as a hiking, skiing and city trips camera and as such it is simply excellent.
