2X tele-converter needed

I would REALLY like to have an M mount automatic 2X tele-converter to add to my options since the M mount lenses are so sparse. Even though I use the adapter to attach my EF lenses, I got the M for its small walk around size.

excellent image quality; Superior build quality; Lightweight/Portable

Missing features/settings

The Canon EOS M digital camera Fashionably late to the party

The landscape in the hi-tech marketplace changed radically in 2009 when the Panasonic GF1 arrived on

APS-C sensor; compact; lightweight; and excellent image quality

no handgrip; no built-in flash

High Quality Images From Small Camera

I regularly use Canon 1D Mark IV and 1D Mark IIN camera bodies. I also have a Canon G-15. I always shoot Canon RAW. I find the image quality from the M to be substantially superior to the G-15.

Excellent image quality for both still and video images. Many manual overrides, when desired, for the extensive auto functions and modes. Photo RAW; 2:3 format that is consistent with Canon's pro cameras. With 22mm lens it's a compact, light camera

There is no effective rapid-fire of images as compared to G series or pro-sumer Canon camera bodies

A good little camera that doesn't get much love.

First off, this camera is capable of taking some GREAT pictures. After all, this is a cut-down mirrorless version of the Canon Rebel T4i. It has the same large APS-C image sensor and DIGIC processing as the T4i. However, getting those great pictures often requires some effort.

Nice little camera which I use quite often. :-) Bad lowlight performance, and limited dynamic range not sooo much better than Sigma Foveon Cameras. ISO200 is visibly worse than ISO100, and ISO1600 just that noisy You rather won't use this setting, if not nessecary. Best was the price!

Great combination of unbeatable image quality, compactness, build quality and versatility!

Image Quality is outstanding, Compact enough to easily fit in cargo pants pockets even with 18-55mm zoom lens attached, Excellent build, solid and well constructed; Ability to adjust settings during video use; DSLR quality without the bulk and weight.

Not ideal for rapidly moving subjects; No vie finder

Canon EOS M review

Canon's compact camera system debut has been an absolute age coming and, as the 18 megapixel EOS M arrives a full four years after some rivals' first, it has high expectations to fulfil.

Smaller more portable body than many competing CSCs; compatible with a wide range of accessories from the world's biggest camera brand; combination of sensor and Canon's optical excellence delivers sharp images that don't disappoint

Have to buy and use £130 adapter for access to wider range of Canon EF lenses; so-so battery performance; lacks a decent handgrip for a steady hold with longer optics; no on-board Wi-Fi; no optical or electronic viewfinder built-in

Canon EOS M review

Canon hasn't exactly been quick out of the blocks in the race to launch compact system cameras and its first, the EOS M, comes four years after Panasonic kicked-off the whole shebang back in September 2008 with the launch of the Lumix G1 .

Canon EOS M Mirrorless Camera Review

There are cheaper competitors available than the Canon EOS M, with quicker focus, a larger choice of lenses, as well as features including Wi-Fi. In addition, the other systems available either feature a built in pop-up flash or smaller external flashes.

Excellent noise performance up to ISO3200; Excellent image quality; Excellent colour reproduction; Excellent touch screen; Solid body with good handling; despite size; Mic socket

Little warning that the battery is going flat; Struggles to focus in low light; No built in Panoramic mode; Limited number of lenses; Short battery life

Canon EOS M review Review

This is as close as you're going to get to a dSLR without actually buying one. The real highlight is the touch interface which makes it easy to fix the settings you need. Performance was good overall, although a little muted on an overcast day, and although the choice of native lenses remains fairly...

Large sensor; Great touch-driven interface; Excellent build quality; Price

Narrow selection of native lenses so far; Muted tones on overcast day
