The Canon EOS 90D is a mid-to-high-end DSLR camera. It's a successor of Canon EOS 80D, it's a good camera for action and wildlife photographers.

This product has a few upgrades against its predecessor. It has a new CMOS sensor of 32.5 megapixels instead of a 24.2 sensor on the 80D. It uses a newer DIGIC 8 Processor, but its predecessor uses DIGIC 6. It has eye detection AF & spot AF and a new AF joystick. This camera can do focus bracketing, but its predecessor can't. It can shoot up to 10 fps continuous, while its predecessor shoots at 7 fps. It has Bluetooth, but without NFC, while its predecessor has no Bluetooth, but has NFC.

Canon EOS 90D DSLR Camera Body 90DB review

The EOS 90D is a DSLR that functions most reliably when used in live view, thanks to its excellent Dual Pixel AF system. Through-the-finder AF is less reliable, by comparison. The camera also offers excellent Raw image quality and usable full-width 4K in a well-built, weather-sealed package with...
Pros:
  • Those looking to document friends and family
  • Anyone seeking an easy-to-use DSLR than can seamlessly handle stills and video capture
  • Those planning to mostly shoot in live view.
Cons:
  • Sports action and wildlife photographers requiring reliable through-the-finder autofocus.

Canon EOS 90D review: Is this 32-megapixel DSLR the perfect match

Three years after the 80D impressed us as the "mid-range master" of the DSLR market, its follow-up, the 90D, continues down much the same line. No, it doesn't reinvent the wheel, maintaining that solid autofocus system, but the significant bump in resolution and burst shooting does make it an...
Pros:
  • Vari-angle screen is very useful
  • Capable autofocus system for still and moving subjects
  • Video capture is now 4K capable
  • High-resolution images are miles beyond casual cameras/phones
Cons:
  • Single SD card slot
  • No in-body stabilisation
  • Autofocus points don't always illuminate
  • High resolution can mean caution when shooting any moving subject
  • Limited autofocus options in live view mode

Canon EOS 90D Review

For those who continue to prefer the advantages of DSLRs over mirrorless – long battery life, good handling and a wide choice of native lenses – the Canon 90D is a fine choice. It’s a classic all-rounder that is very good in a number of different situations, making it the ideal camera for the enthusiast photographer. Upgraders coming from Canon’s entry-level models, or the 90D’s predecessor, the 80D, will find a lot to like here, especially if you’re not ready to consider making the leap to full-frame. All that said, if you’re not already tied into the Canon DSLR ecosystem, you may want to think about exploring the option of mirrorless instead.
Pros:
  • Traditional controls and handling
  • Excellent battery life
  • Good all-rounder
Cons:
  • No image stabilisation
  • DSLRs starting to feel outdated
  • Single memory card slot

Canon EOS 90D Review

The Canon EOS 90D is Canon's latest APS-C DSLR , and features an all-new 32mp APS-C CMOS sensor, which is shared with the new Canon EOS M6 Mark II . The use of a 32mp sensor means that the 90D is the highest resolution APS-C DSLR camera available.
Pros:
  • 32mp APS-C CMOS sensor
  • 4K / FullHD video without crop
  • 10fps continuous shooting
  • High-image quality
  • Excellent colour reproduction
  • Excellent 1300 shot battery life
  • In-camera raw editing
Cons:
  • Conservative design
  • Smaller buffer than expected
  • Focus options are hidden in custom settings
  • Shows weaknesses of kit lenses

Good camera for the money.

Bought this canon 90d upgraded from a canon 7d mkii. It's lighter and I like the tilt touchscreen as I'm doing more landscape and different angle shots. WiFi and Bluetooth is a good feature. Frames per second is on par with the 7dmkii but not the AF .
Pros:
  • Durable
  • Great Features
  • Great Picture Quality
  • Lightweight
  • Simple Controls
Cons:
  • High ISO quality
  • Low-Quality Recordings
