Camera Test: Canon EOS 6D

Just as with the D600, we were quite impressed with the EOS 6D. There are clear compromises that must be made to reach this price point, but we feel Canon did a good job of cutting costs in the right places to create a camera that is a pleasure to use.

Canon 6D Review

The 6D has no built-in flash. I prefer my compact old 220EX for family photos; it is superior to the new 270EX II sold today. The 6D is a smaller, lighter version of the world's best DSLR, the 5D Mark III .

Canon EOS 6D review by kendigital

I bought a 6D Fall 2013 and have been on a shooting binge, gaining a good feel for the features and performance of this camera. I also own a 5D MK II and 60D so it's hard not to notice the 6D is a marriage of the two older cameras: full frame innards of the 5D MKII coupled with the petite form...
Pros:
  • easy on the shoulder
  • amazing image quality
Cons:
  • No FEC button
  • missing popup flash

Canon 6D

? Despite a few quibbles, the 20.2-megapixel Canon EOS 6D lives up to its promise of housing a glorious, full-frame CMOS sensor inside a smaller, lighter, and more affordable digital SLR camera body designed for prosumers, enthusiasts, and even novice photographers.
Pros:
  • Excellent image quality on par to more expensive full-frame DSLRs (including the 5D Mark III)
  • Responsive all-around performer
  • Superior HD video-shooting chops
  • Built-in Wi-Fi with remote control and sharing features, Built-in GPS and geotagging, Offers the glories of a full-frame sensor in a more...
Cons:
  • Lacks a built-in, pop-up flash
  • No external headphone jack
  • Rather basic 11-point autofocus system
  • Mediocre burst speed, While it's more affordable than previous Canon full-frame cameras, some users might find the $2,000 price tag still to be too high, No pop-up flash, No built-in AF illuminator...

Back in 2012, Canon unleashed one of the most popular cameras to ever grace the market, the EOS 6D . Packing in a 20.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor, the camera was powered by the outstanding Digic 5+ processor and boasted a native ISO of 100-25,600.

The EOS 6D offers a silent, low vibration shooting mode. By slowing down and muting the shutter and mirror reflex action, the camera is capable of handheld, virtually imperceptible operation for discrete shooting in more situations.

Disaster - this will kill your ipod

Bought this with ipod 5 months ago - as the other reviewers say it is impossible to change the volume through the plastic. Worse still the design means that the earpiece socket sits right on your skin so impossible to stop sweat getting in - my ipod has corroded round the earpiece in just this short...

Runners beware--case absorbs sweat!

I purchased this armband with my new iPod (7th gen). After several runs (including 3 over 20km) I found the following: I found it very hard to see the screen and make any selections from the screen while running as the clear plastic/screen cover isn't very responsive, and it is a bad angle to view...
