Canon EOS 600D – Review

Juha Saarinen looks at the piggy in the middle DSLR from Canon. Canon makes lovely gear – mostly – but the Japanese imaging giant has an annoying tendency to come up with confusing product lines. For instance, you may wish to buy an expensive full-frame DSLR for the benefits a bigger imager brings.
Pros:
  • Excellent 18.7MP APS-C sensor
  • Image quality even at high ISO levels
Cons:
  • Somewhat plasticky and insubstantial construction
  • Not great value in NZ

Canon EOS 600D review

Initially, the Canon EOS 600D may seem nothing more than a slight upgrade from the EOS 550D, but the newcomer actually owes much to AP's Product of the Year 2011, the EOS 60D.

Canon EOS 600D (Rebel T3i) Review

The Canon EOS 600D is an excellent reflex. It can generate good-quality images from high definition, with accurate colors and realistic, and without suffering much of problems related to digital noise.
Pros:
  • Ductility
  • Image quality
  • Swiveling display
Cons:
  • Price

Canon EOS 600D review (Rebel T3i review)

There's no getting away from the fact that the Canon EOS 600D has inherited a lot from existing models in the Canon line-up, primarily the 550D and to a lesser extent, the 60D. In essence, the EOS 600D is a 550D with the 60D's vari-angle screen, with very little in the way of innovation.

Canon EOS 600D / Rebel T3i

Canon's EOS 600D - or Rebel T3i as it's known in North America - is the company's latest upper entry-level DSLR. Announced in February 2011, it's numerically the successor to the EOS 550D / T2i, although the older model is expected to remain on-sale at a lower price point.
Pros:
  • High resolution 18 Megapixel stills
  • Articulated screen with superb 1040k / 3:2 panel
  • HD video at multiple fps with mic input and adjustable levels
  • Wireless flash control
  • Neat Digital Zoom and Video Snapshot features
Cons:
  • Modest 3.7fps shooting and small RAW buffer
  • Average 9-point AF system and viewfinder
  • Still no continuous AF for movies
  • Models on either side may be better for some photographers

Canon EOS 600D review

The Canon EOS 600D is more than the "550D with vari-angle screen" it may at first appear to be. It's really the built-in wireless flash commander that pushes the camera into new and more advanced territory.
Pros:
  • Detailed vari-angle screen
  • wireless flash control
Cons:
  • Plasticy build quality
  • slow AF in live view
  • Raw continuous shooting

Canon EOS 600D Digital SLR Review

is Canon's latest Digital SLR and updates the popular 550D and is the latest in a line of DSLRs dating back to the 300D. No longer the entry level SLR in Canon's line up, it is now a step up from that, as that role has been filled by the new 1100D, the 1100D being an update to the 1000D introduced...

  • Brilliant colour reproduction
  • Solid body with great rubber grips
  • Low noise upto ISO3200
  • Better than expected battery life

  • Little battery warning
  • Slow live view focusing
