Canon EOS 5D Mark III Review
The 5D Mark III is one of Canon's premier full-frame DSLRs, and for this reason, it's strange to see it lag behind the competition. Despite its shortcomings in sensor tests, battery life and additional features, it remains a good option for professional photographers – especially those with a...
Pros:
- This camera offers more cross-type focus points than most
Cons:
- Dynamic range is relatively poor at just 11.7 Evs

Canon EOS 5D Mark III Review
That Canon EOS 5D Mark III is the celebrated successor to the wildly popular 5D Mark II, packing in several significant improvements, new technologies, but only a 22MP sensor. We know that pixel count isn't everything (and we implore that you feel the same) but Canon claims that the sensor employs a...
Pros:
- Amazing AF system
- Good high ISO still and video performance
- lighter body with weather sealing
- Silent jog dial for uninterrupted audio recording
Cons:
- Quite pricey compared to the camera it replaces and competes with
- Noise in video is quite unpleasant (above ISO 8000 in low light

Like many, my positive experience with the mark 3 so far is in part due to some of the shortfalls felt by cameras like the 5D mark 2 or the 7D. Both the 5D2 and the 7D had their shortfalls. I feel the 5D3 is much like a merger of the positive sides of both of these cameras.

Amazing Camera
The black autofocus points problem is supposed to be fixed in a future firmware release, basically they flash black instead of red which is hard (impossible) to see in low light.
Pros:
- Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus
- High ISO Performance
- Quiet
Cons:
- Black Autofocus Points

Superb ISO Performance
The first thing I tested was the 61 points focusing system. Some said it is not any better than 7D 19 points focusing system, I would say that they are wrong! I own a 7D, and I did side by side test, 5D Mark III is certainly better and faster than 7D.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus
- Fast Shutter Speed
- Good Image Quality
- High ISO Performance
- Large Clear LCD
- Quiet
- Strong build
Cons:
- No Build-in Flash Trigger
- Poor focus in low light

[REVIEW-CANON EOS 5DMkIII DSLR]
This 22 megapixel full frame camera is the upgrade of the revered MkII. While there are not many extra pixels the processor, ISO range, burst rate, viewfinder coverage and LCD have all been improved. Auto focus is now by 61 points instead of 9.

The Myth of DPI
Dpi has nothing to do with image resolution. Dpi is a specification that we input in the file info that is relevant to a printer when a physical copy is to be printed. What matters is "X pixels by Y pixels" when it comes to sharpness of the image.
