The EOS 4000D is the least expensive DSLR in Canon's line-up and one of the cheapest routes into ‘serious' photography for beginners, students, and anyone else who wants to go further with their photography than a phone will allow.

The Canon EOS 4000D (also known as the Digital Rebel T100 in North America) is Canon's cheapest ever DSLR camera and is aimed squarely at first-time interchangeable lens camera buyers.

Aimed squarely at those who would like a DSLR, but are on a super-strict budget, the 4000D is the most basic DSLR in Canon's EOS line-up. As it stands, you can pick up the older 1300D at a cheaper price, but whether Canon will keep that in the line-up too much longer remains to be seen.

The Canon EOS Rebel T100 / EOS 4000D really does feel like a camera that's been designed and built to a budget imposed by especially parsimonious accountants. With most of the camera made up of components from the parts bin for long-superseded Canon DSLRS, there really is nothing much to recommend...

I read a lot of bad reviews about this camera but they must have been written by someone who has an expensive camera, this camera is sold as a beginners camera, it does exactly what it says it will and I'm extremely happy with it, love the WiFi connectivity to my iPhone , great pictures

I bought this camera because I wanted to have a go with an internet avaible cpiece of equipment. What i got defies description, and is easily a cut above its standard.
