Beware of digideals for less, I ordered this camera to give as a gift for a girl in the family and it turned out it was not the T3 but t5 without the blue folder on the lens. This is disappointing:(. Not what I had ordered.

What a superb workhorse camera. Hasn't let me down in four years of regular use, handy video clip feature, plus easy to use manual settings if you want to be creative but the P- Program setting copes with most lighting. Big range of used lenses fit this camera body too.

I received this camera (body) and kit lens (18-55mm) as a gift in December. I saw this bundle for an amazing price in April and bought the bundle for my boyfriend. He loves it! (and to think he got so much more with his gift.

I picked up a used T3 on you know whos list for $200.00. It had 1007 shutter actuation's and looked and performed like new. I currently us a DMC g5 Lumix MFT 16mp and really like that one. I had recently sold a d5100 Nikon. I had read the T3 was a beginners SLR. I must disagree.

Canon EOS Rebel T3 (1000D)
The Canon EOS Rebel T3 (1000D) will definitely lose in a competition with what's currently on sale. So yes, this camera is indeed Canon's least inspired model.

The Canon EOS 1100D is well worth a look for users wanting to step up to the digital SLR market. It's affordable, offers a good range of features and is easily capable of shooting amazing photographs.
Pros:
- The design of the Canon EOS 1100D is firmly evolution rather than revolution, and it looks very similar to the EOS 1000D, EOS 550D and EOS 500D that came before it
- This is actually a good thing, as it's one of the neater looking DSLRs on the market.
Cons:
- The biggest disappointment with the Canon EOS 1100D is the small 2.7-inch screen on the back
- It looks slightly cheap in comparison with its more expensive siblings – all of which offer larger screens – although it does help to keep the price down.

this is the best and cheaper model in canon, best for small home functions, tour, and u can learn dslr with this after u become professional go for bid models like 60d, for 4x6 size photos this is more than enough, east to handle, battery backup sooper,
