I sent the camera with the original pre-printed registration card to the "warranty" repair center. Since this was a Christmas gift I do not have an itemized sales receipt. Canon sent me an estimate for $220 to fix a camera that was defective out of the box. Unacceptable. Zero for customer service.

This camera apparently has a lot of capability but I have not been able to use it yet

The camera body is so flimsy that with normal holding pressure in my right hand, my thumb could make the display go to half-brightness and flicker; Let up with my thumb, display works properly; Press right above the four way selector switch

I particularly enjoy the quick response for the next picture to be taken. We have bald eagles that nest along our coastline and I like to get multiple pictures of them taking flight or landing.

I wanted to buy a beginner dslr camera but was confused between the brands of Nikon and Canon. My friend suggested me to go for Canon EOS 1100d. It is a good entry level DSLR which has a guide mode for newcomers. Though it can handle upto 6400 ISO, the grains are highly visible at 6400 ISO.

An amazing DSLR for it's cost. Works awesome with all 3 lenses I have, that's the 18-55mm kit lens, the EF 50mm F/ 1.8 II Prime Lens & the EF-S 55-250mm Zoom Lens.

Canon pictures are best quality pictures as we all know. After getting my job I wanted to purchase one best quality camera and I did this. It is a digital camera with a CMOS sensor. The camera is also provided dust deletion features which I needed.

If you need a camera, a Canon Digital SLR camera is a good place to start -- affordable and user-friendly. This model is on the lower end, but is great for a first camera and everyday use.

Even though this camera is two years old now, it still is a wonderful, simple DSLR to use which gets the most important thing right and remains an excellent value for the money. The camera has a glossy plastic finish which doesn't exactly exude quality or make it feel like a high-end camera.

The Canon EOS 1100D is well worth a look for users wanting to step up to the digital SLR market. It's affordable, offers a good range of features and is easily capable of shooting amazing photographs.

The design of the Canon EOS 1100D is firmly evolution rather than revolution, and it looks very similar to the EOS 1000D, EOS 550D and EOS 500D that came before it; This is actually a good thing, as it's one of the neater looking DSLRs on the market.

The biggest disappointment with the Canon EOS 1100D is the small 2.7-inch screen on the back; It looks slightly cheap in comparison with its more expensive siblings – all of which offer larger screens – although it does help to keep the price down.

Decision-making made simple: This camera being just about the cheapest DSLR in the market, if you are still contemplating about buying it, it must be because you are undecided if to buy this camera or a more expensive one (like Canon T3i, about $150. more).
