First digital SLR
Very early on with this camera, but we have always had good results with Canon products and this one is following suit. The controls and touchscreen can be figured out quite easily, and offer a lot of flexibility. The automatic modes work very well.- Intuitive controls Lots of options Good results Nice package
- Tendency to overexpose in automatic
Didn't think I could use one of these
I've seen family members use SLR and DSLR in the past and wrote it off as too hard to do. Use of this Canon SL1 camera is like school. You can start at the very beginning with LOTS of help and move up in gradual steps to use of it by hand with lots of accessories.- dvd cd and paper instructions
- "just right" size for smaller hands
- might be "too small" for larger hands
Canon sl1
Takes really nice pictures and easy to operate and Great priced from buy dig I will make more purchases from them- Great camera
- Not sure if any
Good Quality but no headphone jack!
It's OK. Small, lightweight. Good quality. But like so many Canons at this price, it doesn't have a headphone jack so that you can hear audio when recording video. You can work around this with a few cables and a Zoom portable mic...but it's a pain.
Small bodied camera - full bodied pictures
I bought this last week as a replacement for a 550d that I use for photos and videography. The 550d had a few more features but in a much bigger frame. Installed magic lantern for most of those bells and whistles and I was very impressed with the camera as a whole.
Why didn't we buy this before?
After our 33rd wedding anniversary we finally bought a proper camera! This Canon digital SLR is brilliant, light to carry, easy to use and takes fantastically clear pictures. Ease of use is vital as we aren't great with technology, but we need not have worried.
Great Little Camera, I am surprised!
I have a Canon 5D Mark3 and a Canon 6D , so I am used to the best quality in images using those two. But I needed a very light camera to take with me when I tour around Europe. I initially bought the Sony A6000.
Canon EOS Rebel camera
I loved the camera at first. Especially with the continuous taking of pictures, but the battery has to be charged before I use it and I use the camera often. Then I have to re-charge it in between taking pictures because the flash will not work. Not worth the money at all.
Great value and easily beats any bridge camera in this price range
Hummed and hawed for a long time before buying this. I already have an EOS50D which is six years old and is still my main camera, but over the last few years I've dabbled with bridge cameras to use for travelling, walking, cycling and other occasions when you don't want to carry the full kit.
THe utilities and camera were well packaged and of good quality. I haven't used the camera much yet
I had it shipped to the Mainland address because shipping via other than USPS was very expensive. THe utilities and camera were well packaged and of good quality. I haven't used the camera much yet. It is very ,very lightweight. Nearly as light as my Nikon Cool Pix 6100.
