Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Good as a kit lens, but I wouldn't buy it otherwise unless I had no other choice. I spent almost no time upgrading mine to a 15-85mm.
Pros:
- Light &
- Small, Sharp, Good IQ
Cons:
- Slow and noisy AF
- filter ring rotates
- feels like a toy

versatile lens
I find this lens very versatile. It is also not too bulky to bring on our regular dog park visits. I can take pictures of my dogs from different distances. It performs adequately for what I intended it for.

Lens for Cannon
I actually dropped and broke this lens that came with my camera and had to replace with one from the store. The order to store option worked well, and did the trick.

I use this lens more than my other ones. Good combination for many occasions. Still, I'm looking for an upgrade that'll probably cost more than my camera body.
Pros:
- Works for me
- Nice zoom range, light weight, image stabilization and good images
Cons:
- Could have wider aperture, closer or longer zooms
- Bugs me that the end rotates for polarizer and gradient filters

Replacement
I bought this a a replacement for the original lens that came with the camera. It seeemed to be just as good as the one that it was meant to replace

Len's mounting threads were stripped and very noisy while recording ...
Len's mounting threads were stripped and very noisy while recording. Unsuitable for shooting my youtube video's or anything Macro or telephoto. Lens's fall off because of stripped threads.
