Great zoom lens
Outstanding service! Ordered the lens kit and received it the following day. Great zoom lens. I love the wide focal range of the zoom allowing me to carry this lens instead of two additional lenses. Major upgrade from the 18-55mm lens kit that came with my camera.

Extremely disappointed with this lens
I was better off buying the 18-135 mm. I was shocked to see that there is no much difference between 135-200 mm. The built of this lens is very poor, I thought it was broken when I first opened the package but when I tried another lens (same specs) it was exactly the same.

An excellant allrounder/travel lens
I bought one of these EF-S 18-200 with a 500D as a kit 2 years ago and carted it all round Southern, Central and Northern Australia, China and it has served me well as an all rounder.

Great lense!!!
I bought my 550D with the twin lense kit which included a 18-55 and a 55-200. I only ever used the 18-55 but then 12 months ago I bought the 18-200 lense! It is much more versatile and the 18-200 lense travelled with me all through the US and UK on a two month journey and performed wonderfully.

Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
This is an excellent all around lens (vacation lens). I bought this as a kit for my EOS 50D. As a kit lens I would say it's one of Canon's best kit lenses and very comparable to the cheaper 55-250 in IQ and performance. The build quality is what beats the 55-250 by a long shot.
Pros:
- Great walk around lens
- Very sharp at 200mm
- good build quality
- quiet micro motor AF
Cons:
- Barrel distortion at 18mm
- CA at 50mm range
- slow AF in low light at 200mm

Zoom Range Is Exceptional
A great walkabout and travel lens at a very useful focal length range, this one produces amazing pictures, needless to say. The zoom range is exceptional too. It also features a built-in Optical Image Stabilizer with automatic panning detection feature. A class Canon lens.

Jack of all trades...
This is Canon's first foray into the superwide to telephoto class of lenses. It still needs some work As the title implies, this lens does a lot, too much in fact. It suffers from the problems associated with long zooms: pincushion and barrel distortion, and the edges aren't very sharp at most...
