I love how wide the lens is and gets the entire scene into the shot. I love taking it out with me rock climbing and getting the entire beautiful picture instead of having to do a panaramic picture.

Pros: This lens was designed specifically for cameras with APS-C image sensors. The maximum f/stop ranges from f/22 at 10mm, and f/29 at 22mm. Images have been very sharp. Colors are rich. Good in low light. Uses a 77mm filter size.
Good images considering it isn't an Slr. Perfect for hiking and birding though with its size and zoom. Will need to carry battery supply though. Great features like rapid fire multi pictures and stitching assistance.

Excellent lens! I had been looking for a wide angle lens for awhile. I debated between this lends and a Sigma lens which was a little less expensive, but, decided to buy this. I am glad I spent the extra cash. The colors are excellent and images are sharp.

I use the 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM mainly for waterfalls and small cascades in the mountains of the south east US. With a APS-C camera sensor this focal length is superb. While there is some distortion at the 10mm end for my purposes it is not objectionable.
