I picked this lens up for its range. I use it on a T2i. I'm more of a wide-angle guy so I just wanted this lens for when the urge struck me to take pictures of birds and far away things.
Pros:

The EF 75-300mm III is Canon's most affordable telephoto zoom, and as an EF model it's also compatible with both cropped and full-frame bodies, although its low price means it's best-suited to entry-level cameras.

The optical system, construction, and exterior are the same as the EF 75-300 mm f/4-5.6 III USM's. The difference is that it uses a DC motor instead of a USM to drive the AF.

No point to buy unless you're working with an old camera.
Cool cheap lens. But that's what it is. Don't expect AF to work well on a modern camera. In MF on 75-125ish it shot slightly worse than my kit 15-45 EF-M. But that's expected with the higher range. Too much noise however requires a lot of photoshop and resolution scale down to make good images.
