Stunning Lens
Updated from my 55-250, the quality of the pictures from this lens is so much better, highly reccomend.

Top quality zoom
Superb lens enabling you to take quality, pin-sharp close-ups from long distances. The image stabiliser is very effective too. The only drawback is the relatively small aperture but that's only a problem if you're photographing in low light or indoors, and even then the quality of the images remains...

I'm very happy that I did
I returned mine and got a higher-quality older lens off of eBay. I'm very happy that I did. This lens isn't very sharp at all but will fit the bill if you just need a lens and aren't too picky about the image quality.

zoom
Just came back from the Chesapeake Bay area where I used this lens almost exclusively. (together with the canon5 Marklll The focus is fast, sharp as a tack, and never failed me. What impressed me the most is how true the colors remained even of the farthest objects.

Excellent Lens and zooms further than expected
Bought this lens to go on a Canon Eos 200D DSLR Camera. It is fast to focus and has a good zoom range (maybe not as far as others). The photos come out crisp and clear. Even though the lens does feel heavy, when you have it attached to your camera I didn't really notice it.

For private use WOW!
Well I have tried the lens out today after getting receipt this morning. Not for professional use perhaps but with image stabilisation and compact size. Great for zooming in on subjects and even good with macro use. Does what I need for now.

I bought this because I do a bit of "birding" and I wanted a long lens. The non "L" version was a bit disappointing. This is substantially bulkier, and heavier but oh my, it is terrific!
Pros:
- Sharp as a tack
- good fast focusing
Cons:
- Big
- heavy
- (compared to non L version
