Street photography
Ive been looking for the perfect street lens for a while. Recenlty bought a canon 6d and added the 24-105mm. Wow blown away -= wouldnt be the same on my old 60d as the 6d is full frame. Thanks Cameras Direct. As always a great experience.

Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM Lens
Announced towards the end of 2012, Canon's EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens provides a lighter, more affordable alternative to the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM, which we reviewed in April of the same year .

Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L USM Lens Review
Handling and features Performance Verdict Specification This new entry to Canon's L-series of lenses covers the popular 24-70mm focal range. As it has a constant maximum aperture of f/4 it is available at a lower price than the latest 24-70mm f/2.8 lens and also includes image stabilisation...
Pros:
- Excellent sharpness throughout the range in the centre at maximum aperture
- Good build quality
- Relatively lightweight
- Reasonably low distortion
Cons:
- Quite expensive for a lens with an f/4 maximum aperture
- Sharpness at 24mm towards the edges of the frame falls behind performance in the centre of the frame

Good lens but I prefer F2.8
The image quality is not that bad but I prefer F2.8 if you can pay for it.

Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM
The Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM ($1,499 list) is a wide-to-short telephoto zoom lens for Canon cameras . It's noticeably smaller than the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM, a lens that captures twice the light at its widest aperture, but lacks image stabilization and is priced around $2,300.
Pros:
- Optically stabilized
- Sharp throughout the zoom range
- Optically stabilized.
Cons:
- Some distortion at 24mm
- Telescoping design

As expected: great 'everything' lens
This is my go-to lens. It's almost always on my 5DIII, except when I need a bit more reach. Replaced my 24-105 with this lens and love the IS (gotten sharp images up to 0.5 seconds handheld), great sharpness and color as you would expect from this lens and controlling the zoom range is less cramped...
Pros:
- 77 Mm Thread
- Consistent Output
- Durable
- Fast / accurate auto-focus
- Lightweight
- Nice Bokeh
- Rugged
- Strong Construction
Cons:
- No F28 Obviously
