Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 USM - Review / Lab Test Report
The optical construction is made of 11 elements in 9 groups without any special glass. The aperture mechanism features 5 blades. With a min. focus distance of 0.25m the max. object magnification is about 1:7. The lens feature a floating system for close focus correction.

Heavy vignetting, soft in the corners, but it's a good little lens if you are looking for something on the wide end.

Great, Underrated lens!
There are a lot of bad reviews about this lens. It does have it's flaws, but overall it is great wide angle lens for the price. I was in the market for as wide of a lens as I could find around the $500 price mark. And this what I took a risk after reading multiple bad reviews.

Un super grand angle qui " déménage "
Utilisant le plein format plein depuis peu , avec un 6D je viens de compléter mon zoom EF 24-70 mm f :4 IS avec ce 20 mm f: 2.8 dont la définition et le piqué sont excellents dès 2.8 et l'on peu travailler avec l' hyperfocale très utile avec cet optique

Good wide angle for those not looking to spend the earth
This is a nice little wide angle for your Canon DSLR. It is EF, meaning it's designed for full-frame Canons (series such as 1d, 5d, 6d etc) which gives optimal results. I decided to go for this wide angle purely based on budget; I have previously used a 17-40L and found that extremely good, though...

A disappointment
I bought it to use with my Canon 5D Mark III for street photography and the occasional landscape. Very true colors and little distortion (nice) but serious vignetting, especially noticeable in the landscape shots.

Perfect Real Estate Lens
I played around with wide and ultra-wide lenses over the years. The best lens for a full frame camera that I have found is this 20mm lens. It seems to be wide without exhibiting extreme distortion. The nice part if the field curvature works well taking photos of small rooms.

Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 USM
If you were actively seeking a review of this lens, the chances are that you've already seen another one written by Mr Ken Rockwell, who I believe it's fair to say divides opinion on many photography matters.
Pros:
- Fast and accurate focus
- sharp frame centre
- attractive colour rendering
Cons:
- Soft corners

I purchased this lens used (1 month old )and was a little cautious about it's value.Took some pictures and was very pleased.Having other wide angle Len's to compare with 24-105,24-85 and17-40 I can say this 20mm lens is as good or better tan most of the other lens.I like the build quality and how...
