This lense has exceeded my expectations. The macro is great, but I was surprised at how awesome it works as a portrait lens as well. Extremely sharp but beautiful bokeh for macro and portraits.
EF 100mm F/2.8L Macro is a great lens
I bought this lens a couple of days ago. This is my first true macro lens. To get to know the lens I have taken dozens of test photos with my EOS 6D. I setup a tripod and took photos of some small nick-nacks with the 100mm F/2.8L and then attached the 24-105mm F/4L for comparison.
Great combo
All items arrived in perfect condition. Items in combo are actually all usable. Have not used lens so far, but plenty of reviews give it an excellent rating.
Canon L-series - quality lens
I was pleased to see Argos selling L-series lenses. I am new to macro photography but can see it being very addictive. Super sharp results already. Very pleased.
best for jewellery photos can be also used for portraits with 2.8 Apreature its sharpest at its lowest apreatures

Excellent sharp macro lens
I use this fine macro lens on a Canon 5d to digitize 35mm slides on a converted Kodak carousel rig. I can see the actual Kodachrome film grain on the digitized images. I definitely recommend this lens.- Sharp macro lens
