you have to study the manual before use

a little complicated to operate. I think the manual could be simplified to make it easier to use. A quick start pamphlet would help.

Very dependable camcorder

This is the second Canon DC100 DVD Camcorder w/25x optical zoom that we have owned. My husband bought one over 7 years ago. We used it quite heavily as we do alot of rodeos every year. Plus we use it to video wildlife and our children. The first one just broke (due to me accidently breaking it).

trust no canon products

Great product when its working.Product malfunctioned in less than 12 months. Didn't come with a warranty. Trust NO canon products that don't have the option of an extended warranty.DONT DO IT!!!!

DVD Camcorder

This an excellent product, compact, good quality DVD production, and I think good value for money used it for some time now with no problems.

LOUSY VIDEO QUALITY

Wished I had it returned within 30 days.

Great for videotaping up to 30 minutes on DVD-R & convenient for fast files transfer to PC

Video quality lacks solid smooth color; (My 3 yr old Canon A70 does even better job for video color quality.) Pick up loud noise when recording; Resolution for still photo is awful but it is understandable; Have a big regret and disappoinment to own this DC100

"*Canon DC 100*"

o¤?,??,?¤o°`°o¤?,??,?¤o* Canon DC 100 *o¤?,??,?¤o°`°o¤ Well as you probably already know, Canon is a worldwide company and is great for it's cameras and camcorders in particular. I too like canon and also have a digital camera as i have previously reviewed before.

Fab Quality; Records straight onto a DVD; easy to use

Canon DC100

Although it's hardly the polar opposite, the Canon DC100 DVD camcorder is a very different beast from the Canon DC40 that I like so much. In addition to the obvious dissimilarities--the DC100's longer 25X zoom lens, lower-resolution 680,000-pixel sensor, and slightly flimsier-feeling body--Canon cut...

Fast focusing, long zoom lens; solid image stabilization; decent low-light video; aperture- and shutter-priority exposure modes

Fair-to-middling video quality overall; awkward navigation controls; poor still photos

Canon DC100

When it comes to the budget end of the DVD camcorder market, we're used to seeing pictures marred but all kinds of compression artifacts and inaccurate colours. There's usually little room for manual controls either.

Better image quality than we see on many low priced DVD camcorders; a few manual controls

No USB connection; no SD card slot; still images not that hot

Easy Camcorder

Quick Camcorder Review : Canon DC100

- Good for point-and-shooters; - Good still feature set

- Lackluster video performance vs; the Canon DC100 and Panasonic VDR-D100, - Enclosed battery compartment, - Inconvenient control location
