Review: Canon Canoscan LiDE 600F scanner
Canon's LiDE 600F has replaced the LiDE 500F. It features a 4,800 x 9,600dpi optical resolution and 48-bit colour depth – the first compact scanner to bring both of these features together.
Simplicity and Ease: Canon 600F CanoScan Flatbed Scanner
The main reason I wanted a scanner is to make multiple PDF files available for my web site. Also, I wanted the ability to scan photos and some documents to e-mail to associates and friends. The only criteria I had was simple and easy to set up.
not operational
very disappointed. The scanner would not work. It would power up, the scanner light would flash, and then there would be a grating sound. That would be it. When the scanner first arrived, the scanner was locked, but the travelling unit was in the middle of the scan area.
No problems with this purchase
Works fine, just as expected. No problems. Don't know what else to say about it to make up my necessary word requirement
Opt for the non-LiDE if you can
No, I would not recommend this to a friend- Can be placed on its side
- Bad software
- Dead slow
- Slow Print Time
Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F
Canon's LiDE scanners are all small, light, and easy to set up and use. Even better, despite all being flatbeds (so far), their small size lets you treat them as portable, at least to the extent that you can take them with you fairly easily when you need to.- Reasonably capable for photographic prints
- Backlight correction and color restore features in driver
- Film scan doesn't work for slides
- Scans only one frame of film at a time
- Film scanning is extremely cumbersome
Great scanner.
A good replacement for my, now non-OS X Mountain Lion complaint, old Lide 60. Canon Scanners have never gave me problems. The 700f works beautifully, you don't need to install software on OS X 10.8, higher quality scans, faster capture time, good integration with Adobe Photoshop CS6...
OK, but I need other benefits.
Regrettably, the scanner isn't what I expected. It works well but I need something different. The CanoScan LiDE700F isn't the ideal scanner for negatives and it's not possible to scan slides.

As for scanner works - perfect, as for work with film - very inconvenient device or, my be in my case, it was not supplied with proper device to hold film!
