Color-restore feature revives old photos; Surprisingly good OCR accuracy; Scans directly to PDF format
No ADF; Dust and scratch removal feature doesn't do much; Slide scanning produces minimally usable scan quality
Perfect scanner for office purposes. Very efficient and fast. Very easy to connect and so it is to use it. Canon products are the best in my opinion. Wanted to keep the printer, camera, and scanner all the same company. Very clean scanning and no blanks or scratches etc.
Plan on buying the extended warrenty to protect yourself or buy a new one every 14 months or sooner if used alot.

That, in a word, describes my reaction to this scanner. One of the most important features for me was speed. I wanted a scanner that was fast, yet still high quality. This scanner is super-fast! One of the coolest features for me was scanning negatives.
