Incredible piece of hardware made in Japan (surprise). Worth every penny. Used for mostly astronomy. Moon is sharp edge to edge. Albeit with some aberration (false color). But not too bad. Highly recommended.

The 12 x 36 IS II model is only 1" longer and 1 oz heavier (but costs $200 more), but has a minimum focus distance of 20 vs 14 feet. I probably would have preferred them, but price was a consideration.
The IS (image stabilization) really works; We use these mostly for birding, and can see details and identify birds that was impossible with our Nikon 7x Travelite; Image is bright and clear, and I don't see any color fringing; They feel very well made and are a pleasure to hold.
The included pouch is not padded, and only has one pocket; It would be nice to have a small pocket for spare batteries (if depleted the glasses still work, just not the image stabilization)
gf and I have had a lot of fun with this, great for watching bees buzz around the garden among other things.
This is a truly amazing product. Although the price is a bit high, it is worth looking at. Ever wanted the image to be a just a bit less shaky when using binoculars? Well, now it is. What can I say, this is a revoultionary product.
The image stabilising really works
Light sensitivity is a bit low
These binoculars are amazing. I will never buy another pair without image stabilization. You can spend $2000+ on binocs and not have them be as clear and easy on the eyes as these. Pressing the magic button elimates 90% of the quivering of the image, and the result not only reduces eye strain over a...
Image Stabilization; Clarity; Price
None
Supper mind blowing product. But I don't purchase this product for it's too much prize
I have a mild resting tremor that has developed over the last several years. As a boater I need to use binoculars regularly, my old trusty Minolta Mariners would not do. The Canon is great. Even those of you without a tremor will notice how well the stabilization works. Very pleased with product
From the outset, it becomes apparent that there is much to like in Canon's 10x30 IS II binoculars. For starters, the build quality, as expected from Canon, is terrific as the binocs are clearly solidly well constructed.
Great build; Clear and crisp optics; Comfortable to use; Well laid out controls
Ill placed eyelets making threading strap difficult
Image stabilization; what a great concept! No more worrying about the caffine in that cola or coffee. Pay no attention to the wind. Ignore the bumps in the road (or the waves in the ocean). These Canon's perform beautifully in almost every circumstance.
