One of the most realistic World War II shooters to ever hit the PC gaming market, Call of Duty went beyond any of our expectations. Brilliant graphics, outstanding gameplay, and gripping themes are only the tip of the iceberg on this incredible game.

We know it's hard to believe, but there are other consoles out there other than the Wii, and sometimes - shock horror! - they get great games that the Wii doesn't. One such game was Call Of Duty 4, a first-person shooter which has generally been regarded as one of the best recent games due to its...

Call of Duty: World at War (Wii)

When you consider that they all seem to follow a formula -- one modeled aesthetically after "Saving Private Ryan" -- it's not surprising that some people have grown tired of World War II first-person shooters.

Call of Duty: World at War

By now, gamers have fought World War II on every major front and probably been part of every battle the US was involved in. It's gotten...

Amusing online multiplayer; Sometimes-clever use of touch screen; Flamethrowers are always awesome

Hand-destroying control style; Still our grandfather's WWII; Empty level design

Call of Duty: World at War

All told, Call of Duty: World at War is a great first-person shooter and undoubtedly among the best that the Wii has to offer. The controls are smooth, responsive, and immersive, despite a few sundry hang-ups.

Gritty; exciting story; Engaging online multiplayer; Well-mapped control system; Detailed; immersive environments; Novel two-player cooperative mode

Some control hang-ups; Limited online multiplayer modes

Review: Call of Duty: World at War (Wii)

A noble Wii effort from Treyarch. Developers and gamers alike should take note. There's no excuse for complaining about a Wii drought with this baby sitting on shelves. It's classic Call of Duty, and that instantly makes it a must-buy.

Aweinspiring graphics; Intuitive controls; Hugely competent online mode; Chockfull of Call of Duty flair

Inconsistent AI; Controls take time getting used to; Online lacking many basic features

Great Game, but..............

This is a great game, my son loves it; however, be sure you buy the Wii Zapper or you can't use it!

Call of Duty: World at War (Wii) - Review

Call of Duty goes back to World War II, one of the most tired and over used wars of all time, and this time Treyarch is back on board to make Call of Duty: World at War. As much as this game was set up to fail in comparison to Call of Duty 4, since Treyarch made the hated Call of Duty 3, and is set...

Call Of Duty: World At War

Call of Duty: World at War is a difficult game to evaluate. It succeeds and struggles in ways that seem strange. The presentation is superb, but the graphics are subpar. The control and gameplay are fun, but the longevity is almost non-existent.

Good action; Great control; Great voice acting

Lack of online variety; Unimpressive graphics

Call of Duty: World at War

Sure, the Wii won't give you the most dazzling Call of Duty: World at War experience, but that's the worst we can say after spending some time with this baby. There are times in life when we advance opinions without having a rock-solid basis for comparison. This isn't one of those times.
