Call of Duty: Ghosts review

Call of Duty: Ghosts is playing it safe giving its millions of entrenched fans exactly what they want - highly addictive multiplayer that's even more chaotic when played at a faster pace.

Squads mode; Riley is awesome and helpful; Extinction is plenty of fun; Refined killstreaks

One of the worst CoD campaigns; Dynamic maps don't seem to do much; Serious lack of innovation

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Ghosts is a cookie cutter game with a little touch of alien frosting on top. However, the well-designed multiplayer maps, soldier customization, and polished gameplay is more than enough to sink your teeth into.

Fantastic; polished controls the series is known for; Multiplayer is as entertaining as ever

Single-player missions are a snoozefest; Squads is more of a practice mode for beginners than a successor to Spec Ops; Extinction doesn't hold the same appeal as Zombies

Call of Duty: Ghosts

You've probably heard by now that Call of Duty: Ghosts introduces a new mode in place of the old Spec Ops mode called Extinction. The mode is more in the vein of the Zombies modes from the Treyarch Call of Duty games where you battle hordes of aliens while completing objectives.

Review: Call of Duty Ghosts delivers more big dumb fun

Infinity Ward delivers another unsurprisingly familiar yet consistently enjoyable CoD blockbuster.

Campaign delivers big dumb fun; Deep and layered multiplayer; Extinction is a welcome addition

Strong feeling of familiarity - even on next-gen; Really bad dialogue

Call of Duty: Ghosts review – The boos are back

Call of Duty: Ghosts is a great new addition to the franchise but it is definitely showing its age now. Far too many invisible walls and glitches in the single player campaign show a lack of due care and attention which I didn't expect from Infinity Ward.

Ghosts of Generation Future

A solid presentation from start to finish with the campaign that transitions perfectly into multiplayer. Factions make sense with the story for both sides of the game. Extinction is a wonderful addition that should provide plenty of stories to tell.

First PS4 game review.

Incredibly fun multiplayer; Numerous modes; Impressive visuals; Well thought out; Knee sliding

The campaign; short and unsatisfying; The dog

Call of Duty: Ghosts Review

There's so much content on offer in Call of Duty: Ghosts that everyone will get their money's worth, and then some. Infinity Ward could quite easily have rested on their laurels, stayed in their comfort zone to release Modern Warfare 4 this year with little negative critical reception.
