Call of Duty has quickly become the flagship series for first-person shooters, and for good reason. For years now, they've provided epic, cinematic-driven campaigns, and insanely addictive multiplayer modes.

Call Of Duty. These three simple words hold so much weight in the gaming world. Sales records are consistently broken when a new game bearing the name is released; businesses and schools report high absentee rates and gamers everywhere shout obscenities into tiny headsets.

That isn't a major criticism of Black Ops. It is what it is: a very solid shooter with an impressive game engine that offers bouts of exciting action, even though it doesn't bring anything new to the table, or allow you to deeply strategise your every move.

Activision has once again released another Call of Duty to the masses. This time Treyarch has the reins with an all new story and an all new location to defend. I have been playing the Xbox 360 version on my own, for fun, but I have also been playing the Wii version for the purposes of this review.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige Collector's Edition has the usual stuff that one would associate with collector's editions of popular games – a book, a medal, etc. Stupid add-on junk that is destined to become clutter.
