Brother really makes affordable products. This particular all-in-one comes equipped with a fax along with printing,scanning and photocopying. With all these 4 features this printer is highly economical.

Great printer for a good price. However I didn't check properly to confirm if it's wireless networking. It would have been nice if it is full duplex and not manual feed duplex.

*No Windows 8 support for Brother's proprietary software "until January of next year" but we'll see if they deliver on time (printing does, however, work in Windows 8).

*Like all laser printers, it has an internal fan that cools the fusing unit after each print; The problem is that this one's obnoxiously loud in an otherwise quite room

Easy to use software for scanning into a pdf or ocr, allows you multiple settings that are all menu driven. I have used some hp software in the past that was just a nightmare in comparrison. Brother will be my choice for my home office products from now on.

This printer was very easy to set up and install and works very well, so far. However, be warned that it does NOT come with all the cables you will need. It contained neither a USB cable nor a network interface cable. I think that they should warn you about that before you complete the purchase.

After having this printer for 4 months and using over 18 toner cartridges and replacing the drum twice, I thought it was the toner cartridge causing this most annoying problem because, it didn't seem to curl the pages for a few toners and a drum.

I received my new laser printer and have found it to be the best printer I have ever had it prints very clear and faxes and copies very clear I would recomend this product to anyone.

Inaccurate Color

Copying and printing legal size pages are excellent. However printing envelopes, which I do quite a bit, is rather clunky. One needs to open the back of the copier then flip a few green knobs. Its a poor compromise between having a dedicated envelope feeder (my fault) and using paper feeder.
