Brother DSmobile 620 Review

Very much in the same category as the Visioneer RoadWarrior 3 ($93.99 at Amazon), the Brother DSmobile 620 ($129.99 direct) shares the same description as a highly portable, inexpensive, basic scanner. The basic part means you have to do without an automatic document feeder (ADF) and duplexing (two-sided scanning), two features you'll find in the Editors' Choice Canon imageFormula P-215 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner. If light-duty scanning is all you need, however, it could be the right fit. The DS-620($199.99 at Amazon) weighs just 14 ounces and measures 1.4 by 11.4 by 2.1 inches (HWD). That makes it significantly smaller and lighter than the Canon P-215, and obviously a more attractive weight for carrying with you. That's doubly true if you don't expect to scan any documents longer than a page or two, so you won't miss not having an ADF and duplexing.
