Brink Xbox 360, PC, PS3 Review

Brink is a very strange and unique game. Granted, a lot of it has been cribbed from other titles within the crowded FPS genre, but as the sum of its parts, it is quite the original in this world of military shoot ‘em ups and futuristic space marine battles.

(Xbox 360 Review) Brink

Brink is one of the few games where I started out unimpressed but found myself coming around and eventually having a great time. It's rare to go from a negative impression all the way up to playing hours on end a night, but Brink has a certain charm to it that really hooked my inner Medic.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is a remarkably competent third-person-shooter that captures the humor of the PvZ franchise. It also deserves props for being a competitive multiplayer game that is actually kid and family friendly compared to the typical fare you find on Xbox Live.
Pros:
  • Characters have a ton of personality
  • nicely varied classes
  • solid presentation
  • fun gameplay
Cons:
  • Not a lot of maps / modes
  • plants are OP
  • single-player is boring
  • no splitscreen play on 360

Brink Console Review | A Complex Relationship

A month has passed since Dave awarded Brink's PC version a solid 7/10 - and promised that one of us would take a closer look at how Splash Damage's team-based shooter handles on consoles. I've developed a complex relationship with Brink over the last 30 days...
Pros:
  • Refreshing focus on teamwork and cooperation
  • Unbelievably addictive levelling system and character customisation
  • Perfect balance between classes and abilities
Cons:
  • Brute force and bottlenecks overshadow intricate team play
  • Unpredictable bots make singleplayer incredibly frustrating
  • Riddled with inconsistencies
  • niggles and flaws

I can't stress enough how much better Brink would have been had it had no cutscene-heavy story, or if it had even scrapped the single player entirely. The plot is fundamentally solid; an isolated idealised city called "The Ark" is collapsing under its own weight with perpetual battles between rebels...

Test Brink

Cons:
  • Un mode solo en demi-teinte
  • Huit cartes
  • Quelques imperfections
  • La qualité des graphismes

BRINK

After several years in development at UK studio Splash Damage, BRINK drops in stores this week with a serious task: remind gamers that shooters aren't just about crossing chainsaws, pulling off head shots and racking up kill streaks, but also teamwork, communication and planning.

Brink (Xbox 360)

It started as an experiment: a self-sufficient floating city (the Ark), able to sustain life for years to come. But then the waters rose. What was once an experiment is now humanity's only means of survival, for not only its founders, but for the thousands of refugees as well.

Brink (Xbox 360) Review

While at E3 last year, I had the opportunity to check out Bethada's "Brink". At the time, I was taken back with the game's unique and somewhat artistic look. The demo I played was short and certainly had some issues, but at the end of the day I felt the game showed some serious promise.

Confusing, but fun

Brink is a FPS with an attempted RPG leveling system that leaves something to be desired. You start by designing your own character from a limited creation palette(all the faces seem abnormally long to me) Then decide if you want to save the ark(the only surviving land mass after a giant flood) or...
