Confusing, but fun
Brink is a FPS with an attempted RPG leveling system that leaves something to be desired. You start by designing your own character from a limited creation palette(all the faces seem abnormally long to me) Then decide if you want to save the ark(the only surviving land mass after a giant flood) or...

Brink
Brink is set on the Ark, a city built on artificial islands in the sea as a secluded enclave from a world increasingly on the verge of collapse. The residents find themselves more secluded than they bargained for when rising sea levels flood part of the Ark and isolate it completely from the outside...

In Theory...
In theory, this should be a great game; brilliant innovations with regards to objectives, customisation, and movement - but somehow the game seems very "thrown together". The single-player campaign is short, and very sporadic, there isn't really a "story" to it, at least not a very good one.

"Review: Brink"
Brink (Multiplatform) Tested and reviewed based on the Xbox360 version. Review by Ben Nacca (Follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/BenNacca ) XBL GT: Darkeyes2k7 PSN ID: Darkeyes2k11 The first thing that made Brink made me think of was Team Fortress 2 on the PC.
Pros:
- Fast paced innovative multiplayer | Great art style | Customization options
Cons:
- Awful if offline | Needs lobbies | Becomes repetitive

Brink
When Valve's now seminal co-operative shooter Left 4 Dead was released a few years ago, few could have predicted the impact it would have on the FPS genre. Team based shooters have been around since the genesis of these types of games but L4D brought a fresh approach to how co-operative elements can...

I liked it despite the reviews!
It was a very fun game, despite the bad reviews plus the new dlc is coming out in a few days! The campaign in single player can get frustrating with the bots, but multiplayer is an absolute blast. You play to win as a team and dont only care about your k/d ratio!

Brink
So, should you Save Brink or Escape it? It really boils down to two things. If you love playing team-based shooters with strong team elements and multiple objectives, plus you have the patience to work through some clunky game choices and technical issues, Save Brink.
Pros:
- When everything clicks
- it is amazing
- Playing with like-minded friends is well worth it
- Customisation can be very addictive
Cons:
- Looks last-gen in places
- Gun-play and SMART won't appeal to everyone
- Singleplayer feels a little redundant

Brink
Brink will live or die based solely on its community. I don't just mean in terms of pure player volume, but in their willingness to break out of the current FPS commando mindset.

Test Brink
Cons:
- Un mode solo en demi-teinte
- Huit cartes
- Quelques imperfections
- La qualité des graphismes

I can't stress enough how much better Brink would have been had it had no cutscene-heavy story, or if it had even scrapped the single player entirely. The plot is fundamentally solid; an isolated idealised city called "The Ark" is collapsing under its own weight with perpetual battles between rebels...
