Brink review (X360)

The problem with Brink is that it's not very Call of Duty . Unlike nearly everyone else making multiplayer shooters, developer Splash Damage isn't making a game for Call of Duty players, who already have a game anyway.

Brink

Did you play Enemy Territory or Quake Wars: Enemy Territory? Okay, now get rid of the Field Ops class, remove the vehicles from Quake Wars and add in a shitty parkour mechanic. There you go; that's all you need to know about Brink. What are you still doing here? The review is finished. Go home.
Pros:
  • Basically just another Enemy Territory with some features removed
Cons:
  • Basically just another Enemy Territory with some badly unneeded features tacked-on

Truely Awful Single Player Experience

To unlock any of the customisation options you have to complete the ridiculously hard challenges, theAI on this game is terrible, the single player is just a series of multiplayer games where your team will leave you behind if you stop to change your character class to a mission relevent one, both...

Brink - Xbox 360 Review

Kiss kiss, bang bang Go on then: what FPS games have you played recently? I'm a complete sucker for them, hand on heart, although I'm starting to burn out on the "same old, same old".

Brink Xbox 360, PC, PS3 Review

Brink is a very strange and unique game. Granted, a lot of it has been cribbed from other titles within the crowded FPS genre, but as the sum of its parts, it is quite the original in this world of military shoot ‘em ups and futuristic space marine battles.
