Good value for the money at a discounted price. A big improvement on the Panasonic foil razor I've had for some time. A much closer shave and the battery is far better with all bars on the charge indicator still showing after 2 weeks of shaving. the Series 8 has a well made quality feel to it. The only criticism so far is the locking button for the shaving head position is too easily triggered when you rest you finger on it whilst shaving.

Good deal on a shaver with good expert reviews so decided to give it a try after many years since my last purchase of an electric shaver. From reviews that claimed this one could grab even flat hairs on neck etc., was hoping for one that could finally replace blades...but no, not even close. It does a great job with the easy stuff (cheeks etc.), quick and as close as a blade, and does much less damage to skin than cheaper shavers...and if you shave every day so the stubble is nice and short it does a more or less acceptable job of a full shave, if you're not fussy...but with a day or two more stubble it's basically useless at difficult...view more

Wayyyy better than my old foil shaver. It's amazing how technology has moved on since 1977.

I always use Braun shavers, after tried other brand in past. The best shaving quality, no questions. I bought this after Series 7, very satisfied with the good price. It is more economical model - comes without washing station, which is a plus. Not everyone wants the washing station for an extra cost. However, I was mildly dissatisfied to find that there is no charging station in the kit. Have to plug the cable to charge - seems to be step backwards to 90's. Otherwise - a good product for reasonable price.

I used to have shave by razor and easily got redness or scar. That one is comfortable and convenient but a little beard is left on face

The Braun razor is the best I have ever owned. I expect it will see me out. I am now in the process of dumping the other 4 razors I had kept as backups for each time I had bought one and become disillusioned with it.
