Bose SoundTouch 10 review: This compact wireless speaker works with everything and packs some surprising punch

Bose's SoundTouch 10 is the smallest and least expensive Wi-Fi speaker in the company's line of DIY wireless multiroom audio systems, all of which added Bluetooth to their features list in late 2015.

The affordable Bose SoundTouch 10 is an impressive sounding compact Wi-Fi wireless speaker that also offers Bluetooth connectivity.

The Bose SoundTouch 10 is a very compact Wi-Fi speaker that plays much bigger than its size would indicate, and it offers convenience features like Bluetooth and shortcut buttons; The app is pleasant to use and most functions are straightforward; The sound is impressive with surprisingly punchy bass (for a small speaker) and an articulate, exciting midrange.

The revealing nature of the speaker means some genres of music can sound a little harsh at higher volumes; There's no mute button and no integrated battery for on-the-go use; The competing Sonos offers more services over Wi-Fi, more sound-tailoring features and a superior app.

Frustrating Product

Extremely disappointed with this product. It is totally unreliable & frustratingly difficult to connect to Wi-fi. Even with assistance from the Bose Helpline my speakers that had been functioning perfectly now refuse to reconnect. My advice is buy a Sonos product - they work!

LIKED: * I was impressed by the sound. This little speaker delivers deep bass and clear mid and upper range. * You can set up internet radio presets (the six buttons on top) for your favourite stations. No phone or computer necessary to play them once you program your preset faves.

Review: Bose SoundTouch 10

The next area to get attention in the sound world isn't big headphones, though we love those too. No, it's multi-room, and while Sonos may well dominate, Bose is looking to make a dent even in the entry level.

Loud; Excellent sound; despite it lacking stereo; Remote included; Preset buttons are a fantastic inclusion

Technically mono; Requires a Bose account to work; Bluetooth won't work until the speaker is setup on a WiFi network; App needs way more services; and to be better developed

big sound for a little speaker

this is another typical bose speaker....small in size but great sound. certainly, this is not your backyard party speaker, but that is also not what it was designed for. the sound is crisp with typical bose strength/weaknesses...(a lil muddy at times)..

Great small speaker with musical and vocal impact

Good, compact speaker for a small space. I am using it in a mini enclosed office, and it certainly fills the space without a shrill upper range or booming base. As pleasant for varied musical genres, as it is for listening to news programming.

excellent wireless speakers minus the assistant

packaging: minimalistic and functional quality: premium build and aesthetically beautiful setup require an app, which was to start with but kept updating to a more stable and easy version.

Mid-range sound, simple controls, but limited music services

This Bose SoundTouch provides a compact solution with modern connectivity to a variety of music libraries. But how does it hold up ????? MUSIC SERVICES ????? I would have liked more music services offered, such as Rhapsody, Amz MP3/Prime, Google Play Music, Slacker and SoundCloud.

Loud Good build quality Easy to use once setup

Limited music services Buggy software/app

Awesome!

I bought 2 sets of these speakers and we abdolutely love them. I had no problem setting them up and connecting them. Love the fact that you can have all 4 connected or each individual one playing different music from a different device. Love the sound too. Might even purchase another set to add on.
