It seems like we review a lot of Bose products here at Ausdroid. This is for several reasons, key amongst them being Bose make popular gear, they're well known and the company are very good in providing us timely access to review devices.
We've seen an influx of exercise-focused wireless headphones in the last year or so, and now Bose is throwing its hat in the ring. At $149.95, the Bose SoundSport Wireless earphones are among the pricier options in this category.
Powerful audio performance with intense bass response and crisp highs; Secure-fitting, comfortable eartips; Moisture-resistant design
Slightly expensive for what you get
Bose is known for making some great sounding audio gear, the best noise-canceling technology and weird looking ear tips. But what Bose never thought about making were wireless earphones...until now.
Over the years, Bose has had a few different variations of its in-ear headphones -- and a few too many model names to choose from -- but now it's condensed the line to include only the "open" ear-bud style SoundSport In-Ear and SoundTrue Ultra , its first noise-isolating in-ear headphone .
The Bose SoundSport In-Ear headphones are secure and comfortable as well as sweat-resistant, and their "open" design is appealing; They also offer pleasantly full bass and include an integrated remote and microphone and a nice carrying case
They let sound in; so they're not good for noisier environments
I couldn't pass these up when I saw the price but I had some apprehension after reading a review bout issues with the headphones working with a One Plus One phone. I own the Bose IE2 (think that is right) but needed something more durable for running with in-line controls.
Typical Bose quailty; extension for audio cable included; in-line audio controls
The round case for these is a bit on the small side; It forces you to wind up the earbuds really tightly which might start to twist the wires
Bose's SoundSport in-ear headphones are some pretty sleek earbuds. Their basic yet sporty design will appeal to athletes who want a pair of no-fuss music makers, and their solid audio quality is nothing less than what you'd expect from the Bose name.
Overall balanced sound; Sleek; sporty design; Sweat- and water-resistant
Expensive; Relatively weak bass
The Bose SoundSport earbuds are the only real sports option from the company. They have excellent sports features and will stay put throughout heavy workouts. They are the least expensive option in the Bose line-up. However all Bose products are on the expensive side.
Crisp; clear sounds Very rugged Comfortable weather sealed Extra ear tips
Little bit expensive
