Bose SoundSport Pulse review

Heart rate sensing headphones aren't a new concept, but the Bose SoundSport Pulse is something of a watershed moment for the category. Until now, we've seen offerings from tech brands, with the Jabra Sport Pulse and Bragi Dash impressing in our tests.

Great sound quality; Accurate heart rate; Simple to set up; Superb battery life

Bulky and tend to fall out; Prone to outages; Heart rate only – no frills; Limited in-line remote

Freaking awesome!!!!!

If someone doesn't give these 5 stars then they need to move to the Middle East, they are amazing, stay in your ears perfectly and sound great. The hr monitor also works as it should.

Stays in the ear, I can't complain there. I had really high hopes for these earbuds, but my search will continue. My last buds were the B&O Play wireless, but they never stayed in the ear.

Cheap construction for the price paid

After about 1 year of use 3-4 times per week for running indoor on a treadmill the heart rate sensor fell out. I was unaware it fell out and it was lost. Now the Bluetooth connection is sporadic as well. These earbuds are basically unusable now.

Many issues

These Bose earbuds are very thick and heavy. The bass is horrible to non-existent. You get high pitched treble only, and because of the size of these earbuds and the lousy sound quality, you get a headache after about an hour. The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Bose SoundSport In-Ear Headphones Quick Review

Back in January we reviewed the Bose SoundTrue Ultra In-Ear Headphones . Now it's time to review its cousin designed for people with active lifestyle – the Bose SoundSport In-Ear Headphones . Check out our review below.

* Great bass performance; * Sweat and weather resistant; * Allows ambient noises for safer outdoor use; * Youthful colors

* Mids and highs are not that crisp and spacious; * Not universally compatible on iOS and Android at the same time; * Pricey

SoundSport® Wireless Headphones

"Better than most. Sound quality is GREAT! As you would expect from Bose. They begin to hurt and feel uncomfortable after a couple of hours of use but all do after a couple of hours. But due to sound quality, the best I've owned thus far. " Show More

Since deciding about 8 years ago that I was sick of being fat and losing around 65kg, I've been into fitness, a big part of that journey has been having great earphones. I've never been a fan of over-ear headphones when working out as I like to sweat a lot and it just doesn't feel right, so...

Bose SoundSport Pulse Wireless: Bluetooth sports headphone with heart-rate monitor

At Bose's launch even for its new 2016 wireless headphones, I got a chance to try its new Bluetooth sports headphone, the SoundSport Wireless, an in-ear model that's fairly affordably priced at $150 (£140, AU $249). It's the wireless sports headphone a lot of people have been waiting for, but in September the company is releasing the step-up SoundSport Pulse Wireless, which costs $200 (£170, AU$300) and has an integrated heart-rate monitor that's compatible with Runkeeper, Endomondo and other fitness apps.

Bose takes a crack at the fitness tracker market by building a heart-rate monitor into its SoundSport Pulse Wireless headphones.
