Bose SoundLink Color Review

Bose speakers have a fairly good reputation, at least when it comes to the upper price regions. Now they've released the SoundLink Color, a cheap

Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker

As mentioned above, any misgivings you have about the SoundLink Color's design will be laid to rest once you hear it playing your favorite tunes. This speaker pumps out some of the most impressive audio I've heard at this size and price range.

Rich, powerful sound for the price; Uses standard micro USB cable for charging

Unattractive design; No speakerphone function

If sound quality matters more to you than portability and you want to pay less than $150, the Bose SoundLink Color is a great choice. With the best bass and overall sound quality in its class, this speaker will make your tunes sound their best.

Bluetooth speaker market is blooming, and we have been waiting for Bose to launch one closer to the 10K mark, since long. The sound connoisseur has developed speakers like a boom candy before that deliver big sound in a small package. And SoundLink Color Well, it's is only smaller.

Loud and compact; Great Mids; overall sound; Cool and useful design; Minimalist controls

Sound degrades at high volume; No built in mic; Expensive

As it heads into middle age, Bose, now 50 years old, is starting to break out of its conservative mold.

Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker Review

Bose has never been synonymous with value. Sure, the company has given us some relatively affordable products, like the $199.99 SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker ($169.95 at Bose UK) . But for every one of those there's also a $5,000 Videowave HDTV ($169.95 at Bose UK) . That's what makes the new SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker such an unexpected treat. For $129.99, the SoundLink Color offers performance that's nearly as good as the SoundLink Mini, for nearly half the price. I'm not in love with the design, and it would be nice to see Bose add some speakerphone functionality to its Bluetooth speakers. But those misgivings aside, the SoundLink Color is easily good enough to earn our Editors' Choice award for budget-friendly Bluetooth speakers. Color, Design, and Charging True to its name, the SoundLink Color ($169.95 at Bose UK) is available in five different shades, which is a new and welcome move for typically staid Bose. It's a shame, then, that the company had to introduce t...

The Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker packs a ton of power into a portable package, offering impressive audio performance at an unexpectedly low price.

Bose SoundLink Colour

The Bose SoundLink Colour doesn't go big on features. Nor does it Hoover up its design team's budget in premium materials.Indeed, for a little portable number from the House of Bose, it lacks the visual flair of many of its stable. But at that £99 price, many would happily trade feature count and...

Relatively large presentation; Works well with vocals; Voice prompts may appeal to some users; Portable design

Needs tauter bass; Treble needs a dash of sugar – just not sweet enough; Overall delivery lacks finesse and emotion

sounds better than it looks, 'cause it looks a little cheap

I had to return mine because it wouldn't charge, but while it worked it was pretty good. I upgraded to a different bose Bluetooth speaker. If I wouldn't have had problems with that one I would have kept it because while it worked it sounded better than it looks like it would

Exactly what I needed

This is exactly what I needed. Long story in my new place its quiet. My old house I played my stereo a little louder, not blasting just louder. So the only way I can hear as I move room to room is to take my sound link II with. It is sturdy and can be handled a little rough.
