Bose QuietComfort 15 Review

Bose continues its tradition of excellent noise cancellation and supreme comfort with its QuietComfort 15. The $299 price tag is par for the course with Bose products.

Worked like a charm

Used it for the past month. Bought it primiarly to use while on flights. Spent over 40 hours flying in the past 3 weeks. Worked like a charm. Over-ear comfort, noise cancelling, and had that usual "Bose Appeal"... and at a great price, i'd really recommend it.

Audio gadgets: the Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones

: The Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones (about $299 on Amazon ) have tiny microphones mounted on the outside of each ear cup. Sophisticated mini-computers constantly monitor ambient noises and produce an equal and opposite noise into the ear cups to cancel them out.

Bose Quiet Comfort 15

While they're no bargain, the Bose QuietComfort 15s currently offer the best sound and silencing capabilities in a pair of noise-canceling headphones.

Extracomfortable design; improved sound; highly effective noise-canceling circuitry; device folds for compact storage in included carrying case; 30-day home trial

Expensive; when the battery dies, so does the music

Bose QuietComfort 15 Review

The best noise-canceling headphones we've used thus far are Sony's more expensive MDR-NC500D ($399) model. Overall, these units have a wider dynamic range, but the QuietComfort 15 unit does a better job blocking out extraneous noise, a critical requirement for keeping your sanity while flying.

Superior noise-canceling system; very comfortable; good frequency response

High price may trouble some; not the ultimate solution for audiophiles

The best noise cancellation you can get in a pair of headphones; Extremely comfortable; Sturdy carrying case, battery, and airplane adapter are included

Audio can be overly bright, and distorts at high volumes; Must be powered on to deliver audio

Mobility Digest Review: Bose QuietComfort 15 Headphones

I've been looking at getting these headphones for a really long time, and I had made up my mind on my last flight to CA that I would get the Bose QuietComfort 15 Headphones before I fly again. I'm sitting on an airplane right now with these things on and they are simply incredible.
