I played the first borderlands and i have to say this is a definate improvement. Great uniquie gameplay and a good storyline to back the game up. The only fault i can really pick up on the game is the fact its a bit short although you can play through again on a harder difficulty and get better loot...

This is not the End
Borderlands 2 Story line quite follow and at the same time doesn't follow the Original Borderlands. New Weapons, a lot of new weapons were added to the game, new characters and new way to upgrade your character. This new gender of game style is pretty unique and they do a great job in this series.
Pros:
- New characters
- New skills
- cool expansions for the game and replayable
Cons:
- Repetitive and loots are rarer than the first game

Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty
Fans of the original Borderlands will know just how a good a job Gearbox did with the subsequent DLC packs. There were four in total, each one offering something a little fresh and quirky to the main tale, adding many more hours to the overall game and all with tongue wedged firmly in cheek.

Simply awesome gameplay
Excellent gameplay. Simply one of the most interesting shooters I've ever played. I was worried about all the complexity in the game (see YouTube videos about this game) but I warmed up to it and I'm glad I stuck with it. Very fun game that I could play for hours if my wife didn't stop me...

Borderlands 2 review: Huge scale and loot addiction papers over the cracks
Light on story and heavy on guns. Borderlands 2 is saved from XP strip-mining by a sharp sense of humour and a slick, destructive multiplayer.
Pros:
- Lots and lots and lots of guns
- Utterly compelling
- can't-stop-yourself loot collecting
- Great world
- backed by some razor-sharp wit
- Co-op is laser-focused and smart
Cons:
- Story never feels like it's driving the game
- Easy to get ground down by the grind

Borderlands 2
The only downside here is that at some point the game may still feel like you're going through yet another generic loot fest, ultimately offering very little substance to those gamers who expect a richer story and a connection with the in-game characters.
Pros:
- This is a decent sequel that expands on a lot of the original's virtues
- more to enjoy here than before
- cool atmosphere and a great mix of FPS action and RPG gameplay
- great music and sound
Cons:
- Not as exciting in single-player as it could've been
- a lot of the game (the story) still feels generic

Pros:
- The cel-shaded comics like art style
- the intense action
- the gun diversity and the voice-acting all mix up to one whacky experience
Cons:
- The texture popping, the confusing navigational system, the lack of real character and vehicular appearance customization, the re-spawn of enemies can be repetitive
- Some dialogue is not funny but downright disturbing.

Better than the critics say
This game is not as bad as all the ratings give it. The controls issue is a little bit annoying but can be easily remedied by using the options and changing the control scheme. I found that mapping grenades to the O button was effective, and I haven't had problems on the back touch screen.
