Stunning

Bought on day 1. The environment is absolutely stunning. Amazing graphics and gameplay. This game is not for those who lack patience. Like the previous From Software titles (Demon Souls and Dark Souls/2) this game is very difficult and requires patience to learn.

Bloodborne is a PS4 System Seller.

So good! This is a reason to own a PS4 just like Demons Souls was a reason to own a PS3.

Bloodborne review: Hard as nails

Among that esoteric breed of people who class themselves as committed gamers, no developer currently inspires greater reverence than the Japanese company From Software. It's famed for its no-compromise approach, and anyone who has played the action-RPGs Demon's Souls or Dark Souls will testify that...

Gloriously gothic and creepy; imbued with a weird logic of its own; more action-based than previous From Software games; challenging and deeply satisfying

May be too hard for some (particularly in its initial stages); occasional frame-rate issues; camera can go haywire; long death screen loading time

Bloodborne

For those who see themselves as true, committed gamers, few objects generate a greater sense of anticipation than a new game made by From Software. The Japanese developer has cultivated a fearsome reputation as a complete no-compromise merchant, primarily by making its games so difficult that in...

Bloodborne is as glorious as it is grotesque, a harsh and unyielding exercise in getting battered mercilessly while feeling encouraged the whole painful way. While very much a Souls game through and through, the switch from methodical and slow progression to a faster, ultimately more savage...

Bloodborne: The First Killer App on the PS4

It's no surprise that the current generation of consoles have been underwhelming since launch. They have boasted an insane amount of HD re-releases, uninspired first parties, and broken games.

Bloodborne (for PlayStation 4)

Bloodborne is the successor to From Software's Demon's Souls and Dark Souls games. Bloodborne steps away from the sword and sorcery that defined those titles and instead delves into the macabre, alien, and grotesque, with aesthetic and story parallels to H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E.

Fluid, energetic and satisfying combat; Fantastic atmosphere; Beautiful environments and imaginative enemy designs; Great longevity and replay value

Long loading times; AI can be easily exploited; Some bosses are bland and uninteresting to fight; Large enemies can obscure the camera in close-range combat

Bloodborne review – prepare to?bleed

One of the best action games of the generation and a stunning achievement in terms of gameplay, art design, and encouraging players to push themselves beyond their limits.

Superb combat system is elegantly simple and hugely versatile; Amazing world design and wonderfully disgusting enemies; Great online features and role-playing elements

Long load times can be hugely frustrating; Some minor frame rate problems, and the Chalice Dungeons need some tweaking and bug-fixing

Bloodborne

Bloodborne is the latest game from the Japanese developer, and once again we go beyond death. We play as a traveller searching the ancient town Yharnam for a cure to a deadly disease, only to find the place has turned into a hellish nightmare.
