BlackBerry Torch 9860 in-depth review -
A BlackBerry for multimedia? No QWERTY keyboard? Something called a Liquid Graphics screen? Stop, please, you're blowing our minds. The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is one of the flagship phones for the new BlackBerry 7 OS, and RIM's third-ever full-touch handset.
Pros:
- Incredibly quick browser
- fast general navigation
- powerful email and calendar features with excellent universal inbox
- best Facebook app on any platform
Cons:
- Responsive touch-screen let down by inaccurate keyboard
- lack of entertainment apps would disappoint those after less business-centric phone
- imperfect marriage of touch-screen and buttons would disappoint a business user

BlackBerry Torch 9860 review Review
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 certainly represents RIM's most successful touchscreen phone yet. It's a solid and likeable handset. But the high standard of the competition and the relative shortage of compatible apps mean you should be certain it's the phone for you before parting with your cash.
Pros:
- 3.7-inch touchscreen
- 1.2GHz processor
- 720p video recording
Cons:
- BlackBerry 7 OS could struggle to compete with Android and iOS

BlackBerry Torch 9860
Design With no keyboard at all, you might be forgiven for not recognising the Torch 9860 as a RIM device - at least at first glance. However, beneath the screen are four familiar buttons: Call, End (the latter doubling as the on/off switch), Back and the distinctive BlackBerry menu button inside.
Pros:
- Solidly made
- Good touchscreen
- Responsive on-screen keyboard
Cons:
- No Flash support
- Side buttons are tricky to use
- Some hardware design features are achieved at the expense of ergonomics

The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is a BlackBerry, but it doesn't have a physical keyboard. It's a BlackBerry for the iPhone and Android generation, but we think the BlackBerry faithful will prefer the .
Pros:
- Well built
- great screen
- Excellent Web browsing and interface
Cons:
- Touchscreen typing is imperfect
- Hidden volume buttons

The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is RIM's first touch only Smartphone with a capacitive screen. Sure, we have had the Storm and Storm 2 but they didn't use the same screen technology and I'm not sure if RIM are too proud of those devices.

BlackBerry Torch 9860 review
Samsung recently released the Samsung Galaxy S II which is arguably the best Android smartphone out at the moment (even possibly the best phone in any OS category) but they felt that having this title wasn't enough, they wanted to own the title of biggest Android Smartphone in the world too.

Touch Screen Torch: BlackBerry 9860 Reviewed
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is by far one of the largest RIM devices ever manufactured measuring 4.72 x 2.44 x 0.45 inches (120 x 62 x 11.5mm) in height, width and depth, respectively. But at only 4.76 oz (135 grams) the new Torch is not as heavy as other smartphone heavyweights.

RIM BlackBerry Torch 9860 review
The lack of a physical keyboard may limit the appeal of the Torch 9860 to some existing BlackBerry users, but RIM has done a reasonably good job at copying what the iPhone has to offer, even if it is now effectively a generation behind Apple with both its hardware and software.

Blackberry's much anticipated full touchscreen phone is finally here, and we've got out hands on it more than a week before its scheduled launch on various carriers worldwide! Of course we are talking about the BlackBerry Torch 9860, one of three high end BlackBerry devices shipping with RIM's...
