If you are a BlackBerry fan then you can certainly go for the BlackBerry Torch. It is truly a good phone to have but it has its own problems. The worst thing about the BlackBerry Torch is the fact that it doesn't come any cheaper than some of the top notch smartphones however, it doesn't pack in the...

this could be a good phone if all you wanted it for is texting or whatsapp, the camera is good too. but choose an iphone if you want to do anything more, my friends have iphones and i always feel left out because my bb9800 cannot get the apps the way they can, will not be buying a blackberry again.

Cons:
- cant get apps the way friends on their iphones can
- cant download adobe flashplayer to watch things i want to download

Blackberry Torch review
Weighing 161g, it feels substantial (compared to 135g for the Desire and 137g for the iPhone 4) the sliding keyboard making it a chunky 15mm deep. One side includes a 3.5mm jack, volume controls and the camera button, the other micro SD, while lock and mute buttons are positioned on the top.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 Review: In Depth
The phone market is changing quickly and unsurpsingly the Torch 600Mhz processor feels slow next to the dual-core LG Optimus 2X and the 1Ghz Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. Although we should point out that for browsing, typing and emailing – which are the main reasons people buy a Blackberry - it is...

Not That Good
I have been a BB user since last one and half year now, started with Curve and now I bought Torch a fortnight back. I have following points to share: Other than style, At 28500 its not worth its cost.

Blackberry Torch Reviewed
BlackBerry, once the reigning champion of smartphones has slowly lost its grasp as powerful contenders to the title such as the Apple iPhone, Motorola Droid, Samsung Vibrant and many other Android based phones have risen to power.

The Torch’s web browser is based on the same platform as the iPhone and Android browsers, which brings with it features like tabbed browsing, improved rendering speed and HTML 5 support.
Pros:
- The multimedia experience has been improved with a new feature called Wi-Fi Music Sync that reportedly allows users to view their entire iTunes or Windows Media Player music libraries from their BlackBerry smartphone
- create and edit playlists as well as select music for download
Cons:
- Not Applicable

RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 (preview)
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 might be the best BlackBerry ever, but we think at its core it is generally the same as most other BlackBerrys. It possesses an excellent keyboard and great e-mail capabilities, but boasts nothing really new or innovative. The Torch offers little incentive to switch from the iPhone or an Android smartphone, but BlackBerry users will probably find it a compelling upgrade. When you have a product that has been successful for several years, but has fallen somewhat behind the times, it can be difficult to figure out what to change and what to leave alone.
Pros:
- Good keyboard, excellent e-mail, responsive touchscreen, decent build quality, revamped OS, universal search, improved Web browser
Cons:
- Physical design could use an overhaul, large and top-heavy, lack of customisation of app "drawers", UI lacks consistency, lower resolution display than competitors

BlackBerry Torch
While the Storm was a bold departure for RIM, the Torch represents a highly refined version of what BlackBerry owners have come to know and love. The welcome but not-too-extreme makeover starts with BlackBerry 6, a new OS that features a modern-looking interface with multiple home screens, a much...
Pros:
- Multiple home screens and notification panel
- Elegant design with physical keyboard
- Sharp and fast 5-MP camera
- Much improved web browser with tabs
- Time-saving Social Feed app

- Sluggish at times
- Low-resolution display
- Doesn't support 720p video
- Slower web surfing than iPhone 4

Blackberry Torch 9800
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is a refreshing smartphone from RIM. It brings you all that makes the BlackBerry so desirable – including BlackBerry Messenger and BlackBerry Desktop Software 6 with integrated media sync – and adds the new BlackBerry 6 OS, a touchscreen and slide-down QWERTY on top.
Pros:
- Full qwerty keyboard
- Email and social media
- Highly customisable
Cons:
- Can be difficult to operate
- Hardware not cutting-edge
