BlackBerry Torch 9800 review Review
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 offers the convenience of a touchscreen without losing the brand's beloved Qwerty keyboard, and the update to the phone's OS is as welcome as a clean towel after bog snorkelling.
Pros:
- Full Qwerty keyboard
- Refreshed operating system
- Great connectivity
- Useful email handling
Cons:
- Feels large and heavy
- Touchscreen isn't responsive
- Comparatively low-res screen
- Complicated to use

BlackBerry Torch 9800
"This is one of the most important product introductions in our history," said RIM president Mike Lazaridis at the official launch of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 . Phrases such as "uncompromising", "exciting" and "amazing" were also banded about, highly unusual language for a company which tends not...

BlackBerry Torch 9800 – Didn't Quite Light Up Our Lives
Released in India a couple of months after launching in BlackBerry's main North American markets, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 carries too many expectations on its rather broad shoulders.

BlackBerry Torch review
We've overhauled our BlackBerry Torch review in light of recent firmware upgrades and a big drop in price - from £40 to £30 a month in some cases, and nearly £100 off the SIM free price.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 review
There is a lot to like about the Torch. The OS is easier to use then previous versions, and the combination of touchscreen and keyboard works well. However, the media playback is too erratic, the camera is too average, it feels slow when browsing and the display resolution is simply inexcusable for...
Pros:
- Improved BlackBerry 6.0 OS
- touchscreen and slide out keyboard combination works well
Cons:
- Low resolution display spoils the experience
- as does the sluggish processor.

Torch is a huge disappointment!
I have been a BBRY user for years, but the Torch just put me over the edge! Not what I expected
I've had this phone since Oct 2010. I was gullible enough to sign up for this phone back in Optus and am now suffering with a pricey $79 per month plan. I have to say the build quality is not up to my expectations.

Will hold me out until QNX phones
Actually considered this phone an upgrade from my 9900 Bold. I was having issues with that phone - touch screen responsiveness, hanging constantly, connectivity issues. On top of it all I found that OS7 devices were far behind in quality compared to OS6 phones.
Pros:
- Great build quality Autofocus Camera Scratch resistant glass screen Purchased apps from my 9300 work on this device (that don't work on OS7
Cons:
- Well, price, for a last gen blackberry is a bit high
- I could have gotten one used for $200 or less but that's just gross..
